Thanks for posting this. It's been a long time since I have seen that scene. I couldn't remember how close I kept Shuyin's voice to Tidus, so it was good to hear it.
tidus is the reincarnation of shuyin...and yuna is the reincarnation of that girl(i forgot the name)...or tidus is the "good part" of shuyin...or tidus is just a memory, chose the best..XD
