@KINGhotaru11 its just distilled water its like less than a $1 at the grocery store, and the tubing is colored. It's way better than paying like $20 for coolant and $10 in shipping for basically the same thing. Plus i used clear tubing and colored coolant and it left a residue in the tubing and my blocks
how much did it cost to you the tubing , reservoir , pump , rad , fans. And how did you made the swich for the 5 to 12 w and how did you put the uv light . Thanx :)
got a question. does your tubing actually glow? I bought CCFL's and those did nothing to illuminate my tubing so i brought them back and got UV leds which are 2x as bright. still they dont glow. All I see is the purple UV light reflection rather than a glow. My unused bottle of hydrx however glows just fine when next to the uv light.
just to let you know, you said when you bump the case air shoots into it and makes a lot of noise.
that sounds like it wasnt properly bled. so there were air pockets stuck all over the loop, and bumping it dislodges them.
bay reservoirs can be notoriously hard to bleed, but it is recommended getting a spoon, or a cut piece of tube and placing it in front of the inlet of the reservoir, so the air hits the spoon and goes out :)
@themilkguruu Ya i tried to get it all out but just no luck and the piece of tubing in front of the inlet would have probably helped tremendously but i bought the xspc single bay reservoir for like half the price and it was pretty much good to go once i had it all filled up. It pry took like 3 - 5 minutes for most of the air to bleed out.
U use 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD on the tube. What fitting size do u use then ? Would Bitspower 1/2"ID x 5/8"OD Compression fittings do the job ? I cant find any Bitspower 1/2"ID x 3/4" compression fittings.. need your help, hope you answer ;)
@Benfro89 well it really depends on your setup the gtx xtreme is a little bit thinner so if space is an issue you might consider that. Also the black ice gtx Xtreme has high density fins which means they're closer together and you'll need high speed fans for it to be effective. By doing this it will be louder, so if noise is an issue you better stick with the rx360 as far as performance goes i personally couldn't tell ya just do an internet search between the two to find more information
hi i have a question, if you cleared everything from bottom but psu, could you fit a 120 mm rad on the bottom? i want to know because i wanted to use the haf 932 for my next build, and also, could you fit a 360 on the top? thanks very much if you reply :)
@skylinenfsps Yeah u can fit a 360 rad but I don't believe Thermochill's will fit as their a little to thick a 120 rad should fit in the bottom just check with a fan first and see if you'll have room for the tubing and such with the psu sitting next to it but it shouldn't be a problem I've seen a few systems with a 120 rad in the bottom of the case
Have you had any problems with your ASUS rampage formula? i am wondering because i want to buy the rampage III extreme but some on newegg have said that after owning it for a year its gone
I had that red gooey stuff in my computer too, horrible stuff clogged alot of the pins in my cpu block, had a horrible time trying to get it out, and I couldn't remove all of it :/ been using clear destilled water for a while now, hopefully it can clear some of it.
You have done very well with this build mate. May i ask how the gtx 570 performs? im planning to get it soon watercooled and possibly in SLI. Just wanted your view on the card.
Hey man awesome videos, I am looking to try water cooling in my next build so is going all out with water cooling like you did a lot better than a corsair H70 and is it worth doing for someone like me that's never set up water cooling system before?
@ImaginaryGuns It was an h50 and i wouldn't recommend it. There are air coolers that perform the same or better and are quieter than the h50. I don't know it the h70 is better, i've never used it. The only reason i could think of to buy one of the all in one water cooling systems is for looks. If you want watercooling i would build a custom loop, it's fun and gives you a lot of overclocking headroom. Start with a cpu only loop and do your research before you buy.
@ImaginaryGuns I've always been afraid of switching to liquid cooling because of the risks it poses to the other components if a leak arises, do you have any light or advice to shead on this?
@Synyster2016A7X He would actually have to do it to know, but I can give it a guess for you lol. It depends on how see through the tubing is, if it is solid red with UV in the plastic of the Tubing putting black in would make a slightly darker red or no difference at all, but if it was clear UV red tubing it would probably make a purple like colour with the UV lights on and it would just be black with them off.
@DOHCtah733 They're the Enermax Magma 120mm fans. They spin at 1500rpm and they move like 62cfm. They're also fiarly quiet at max speed, well as quiet as a fan can be at 1500rpm i guess.
awesome job man, looks great. I like that black edition case, I have the standard case, grey inside, I just put a bunch of blue cathodes in it and it doens't look too bad. I want a window though, I might order one if they sell them, if not i'll try to make one myself. *thumbs up* on the water cooling too.
@nicholas I have a HAF 922. Looking into getting a water-cooling kit now. Can you recommend me any? Also thanks for the response. My budget is about £200, $300.
@99macca I also have a HAF 922, loved that case! It's the reason i chose the 932 for this build. Great price, features and of course airflow! Anyways... with that kind of budget you could definitely make a great system. I would choose the xspc x20 750 dual bay reservoir/pump combo (The price/performance is great, good for beginner to midrange water cooling systems). Your radiator will have to be 240mm if you want it in the case like the swiftech mcr220 (25mm thick)
@99macca HAF 922 is a great case and i think it will work well for a first time water cooling system. I personally own the same case its sitting on the floor by my desk in this video. I completely disassembled it and painted it all satin black and the tooless drive bay buttons red, looks badass imo. If you want the radiator inside the case you'll have to choose a 240mm radiator, unless you mod or mount it outside the case. i would suggest the swiftech mcr220-qp (25mm thick). It will just fit
@99macca I would choose the XSPC x20 750 pump/reservoir combo because it's priced great and performs great for beginner to midrange water cooling systems. It also saves space, tubing, and the need to buy a couple more barbs or compression fittings. The tubing can be whatever color or size (I like 1/2 ID because it looks better lol and its surprisinlgly flexible. You pry won't see much of a difference in waterblocks either so the rest is pretty much up to you. If you want more just ask.
@nicholas0788 Ahh ok, I was looking into them :) think they're about £150. Thanks alot for your help. Going to do some some cable sleeving and water cooling :)
I really want to mod the shit out of my pc but i'm to chicken shit about it leaking and destroying £600 worth of equipment. What's your suggestions about doing it?
@99macca I would try not to worry about it that much, just go for it! Modding your pc/rig is half the fun when it comes to pc gaming, at least in my opinion. I've only been building my own pc for a little over a year and it has quickly grown into an addiction. I don't know what kind of case you have or what you really want to do with it but maybe you could do a little cable sleeving on your power supply cables to make it the cable management look clean. That wouldn't really cost that much.
@99macca search up some youtube videos on how to install water cooling, learn the basics, and then check out the other videos, NCIXtechtips has a how to guide on water cooling, I probably watched it 100 times before I made my order, and when you decide to go WC, be sure to not have your mobo and gpu and stuff hooked up to it, and always remember to leak test it before setting it all up :)
man your rig is super nice and clean looking one thing that i would do is put in some red lights in it to get a little bit more light in there for night cuz at night it seems to be a bit too dark for having it to show off

I am building similar set-up with
Coler Master HAF 932 Advanced
XSPC RX Series 360mm Triple Radiator
3x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850 RPM Fans
Laing DDC-1+ Ultra Pump 600 L/hr 18W (MCP355) : DDC-1+ T
XSPC Laing DDC 200ml Reservoir Pump Top : Plexi
my question is will the reservoir fit in it ? The case has a fill-port on top.

As long as it's 5.25"... and the Scythes any good for rads? heard they're not... I would go with yateloons
