Favorite wrestler of all time. Breaks my heart to think that I was 6 when I was watching this PPV and to see how bad his addiction has turn him its just too sad.
Before them I skipped ladder matches. After them, never did it again. This is WWE when it was CLASSIC. Sometimes the Intercontinental Championship was more important that World Belt. THESES GUYS USUALLY PROVED it. This wasn't even them main event. RAZOR RAMON IS MY FAVORITE WRESTLER OF ALL TIME!

Further more after that happened are you telling me that wrestling on television wasn't revolutionized into which Joe Blow vs Superstar got done away with and getting rid of the natural boring synopsis of "Heel vs Face"? @TheBlazemasta619 HBK and Razor were definitely not midcarders at this time. Dont forget Michaels had just headlined WM11 against Diesal. This was a time when the IC was "legit" and much more important to the industry. If you were not the WWF Champ or the Number 1 contender, then you competed for the IC instead. Many times the IC title and the WWF title had wrestlers who were interchanged in both. Excpet only when there was a heavyweight, he just went for the WWF title.
I was there and i was 12 when this happened I was right when they came out shawn climbed the ladder right infront of me....somewhere i have a photo of shawns bare bum when razor pulled his pants down!!!!!! I miss you HBK you are the best ever!!
I was only 2, and this was in my hometown! HBK has always been my favorite wrestler since I started watching wrestling in the late 90's. Would have been nice to see this live, but HBK has been in Pittsburgh a few times since then :)
bith guys had a great style and personality. its what made them stand out and its exactly whats missing from current roster. oh and also the ability to wrestle.
@thegreekweezel them and the wwf guys are interesting. but most of the new guys seem too fake and artificial. its like they were bred to entertain little kids lol

Actually, this (Michaels-Ramon II) was the third ladder match in WWE history...Michaels-Ramon I at 'Mania X was the second and the first one ever was between Michaels and Bret Hart in 1992.

His gimmick was so funny, mainly because Vince and Pat thought it was completely original and they thought that Scott was a genius for making it. So sad that Scott is in the shape he is now. I really hope he gets better.

they need to combine smackdown and raw roster now and make only ONE champion, ONE IC champion, ONE tag champions. It doesnt necessarily have to be pg14, but it needs to be a lot less scripted and the promos should be more natural. plus, a lot more gimmicks, better story lines, like they would always have a 'mystery' or some other interesting story. What storyline is going on today? 2 wwe champions? WTF?

Now, I don't even know (and don't care) who the midcard champ is. Promos are too scripted and unnatural. No comedy, no wacky storylines, crowd is like a morgue and its just too 'slick'. Too much money spent on backdrop - it is all make up, no character now.

@thetimbanksbrand NO, truth is Hall called most of the spots in this match. Story goes that Shawn was dead tired at the time from doing publicity. He even said to Hall during the match that he was lost. Hall had a lot to do with making HBK.
@daverende5 Ehh not really. The IC doesn't have the same meaning now. Back when Orton held it in '04 it was still kinda sorta a big deal. Ever since then tho it hasn't meant much. But back in the 90's when guys like Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, HHH, Rock, and Austin had it it was a big deal and one of the top matches on the card.
@Antrizzle2009 nowadays cody rhodes gives it more prestige, I hope he holds it long... what I ment was not more prestige over the 90's guys and just after the attitude era, but over the last, year.

this was actually the 3rd ladder match in wwf/wwe history....people seem to forget the bret hart vs hbk oen which was actually the first...this just happened to be the 2nd televised one as the 1st hbk razor was the first
@delarosaelite yep I think the bret-shawn was released on coloseum video at some point. Was in the summer of '92 when Bret had the IC belt. They were doing house shows together that whole summer.

@joshscobey Yes it was. Razor had been a face for 2 years by this point; Michaels somewhat recently became a face. Since the Mania X match was so epic, they most likely didn't want their new top babyface to have such a huge loss on his record (normally not a problem but they mentioned this match all the time). This evened the odds and there was never a third (ladder match w/ HBK/Razor).

@greatestgoalie25 Around the time Eddie had the belt he was having major drug problems as well as issues at home. They didn't trust him enough to keep the belt on him. Remember that had already fired him once over the drug issue. Kurt Angle talks about it in an interview on here. Eddie was blowing up in matches all the time around then and then blamed everybody else.
@Antrizzle2009: Wow, sounds like Kurt was jealous or bitter about something. Cuz no one, not JBL, not Vince who fired him for the drug problems he had previously, no one other than him if you are telling the truth, has said this about Eddie, and Angle didn't have many matches with Eddie during that world title reign, so I'm not sure he's qualified to even talk trash about it. Eddie was never made to look like someone who complained about people having bad matches...you need to get new sources.

Basically he was saying Eddie was being a dick to everyone backstage during that time period and it was cuz of the drugs. 5th Ladder Match in WWF. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels had 1 for Coliseum Video in 1992. Shawn and Razor Ramon had 1 on a house show in 1994 before their 1 at Wrestlemania 10. Plus, Razor and Jeff Jarrett had a Ladder Match on a house show a couple of months before this.

@thetimbanksbrand NO, truth is Hall called most of the spots in this match. Story goes that Shawn was dead tired at the time from doing publicity. He even said to Hall during the match that he was lost. Hall had a lot to do with making HBK.

@daverende5 Ehh not really. The IC doesn't have the same meaning now. Back when Orton held it in '04 it was still kinda sorta a big deal. Ever since then tho it hasn't meant much. But back in the 90's when guys like Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, HHH, Rock, and Austin had it it was a big deal and one of the top matches on the card.

@delarosaelite yep I think the bret-shawn was released on coloseum video at some point. Was in the summer of '92 when Bret had the IC belt. They were doing house shows together that whole summer.

@joshscobey Yes it was. Razor had been a face for 2 years by this point; Michaels somewhat recently became a face. Since the Mania X match was so epic, they most likely didn't want their new top babyface to have such a huge loss on his record (normally not a problem but they mentioned this match all the time). This evened the odds and there was never a third (ladder match w/ HBK/Razor).
Plus, the card sucked and likely needed it.

@reedeema: Well of course it would. WWE missed their chance with Eddie, he, NOT Cena could've gotten the crowd support for a year long reign no problem...but he loses it to make a star our of JBL :s

@greatestgoalie25 Around the time Eddie had the belt he was having major drug problems as well as issues at home. They didn't trust him enough to keep the belt on him. Remember that had already fired him once over the drug issue. Kurt Angle talks about it in an interview on here. Eddie was blowing up in matches all the time around then and then blamed everybody else.

Cuz no one, not JBL, not Vince who fired him for the drug problems he had previously, no one other than him if you are telling the truth, has said this about Eddie, and Angle didn't have many matches with Eddie during that world title reign, so I'm not sure he's qualified to even talk trash about it. Eddie was never made to look like someone who complained about people having bad matches...you need to get new sources.

Basically he was saying Eddie was being a dick to everyone backstage during that time period and it was cuz of the drugs. Kurt considered Eddie a good friend so I'm not sure he's really badmouthing him, just being honest. If I find it, i'll send you the link.

5th Ladder Match in WWF. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels had 1 for Coliseum Video in 1992. Shawn and Razor Ramon had 1 on a house show in 1994 before their 1 at Wrestlemania 10. Plus, Razor and Jeff Jarrett had a Ladder Match on a house show a couple of months before this.
