HAHAHA sweet I was just at Watkins Glen last weekend, it rocked! When was that class racing? all I saw when I was there was DP's, GT's, F2's and Nascar qualifying laps. I was there 3 days so alot of stuff happened while I was there.

It really depends on who he paased whilst drfting. If it was a buddy of his who had no problem with the manouvre, then I can't see why the 'ring owners should complain, but if he was driftin really close to a novice driver who may have been intimidated, especially if it was an open track not a race, then maybe a short ban is reasonable, or atleast being made to appologise to the intimidated driver.

Ultimately, tracks like the 'ring exist so that people can drift and drive fast and generally behave like theres petrol in their veins. Atleast the guy was doing it on a race track not on public roads. So he was in the right place, maybe just not quite the right time.

its about reducing the average fuel consumption. because of the Cayenne monsters , they need to do something small. remember porsche 914, 924, 944 ? those were cheap models to save them financially. now they need a small consumption model because of that fuel consumption law.

Porsche used to be great....now they're just a Volkswagen dealership with some nice high end models...isn't that Audi's place?

It's not about the car being cheap, it's about the car not being 100% Porsche. If Porsche wants to go to the sub 40k range, then with some caution, I'm all for it, but don't just rehash VW. The Cayenne, Panamera and now the...GTI(?)...will be disastrous for Porsche's image in the long term. Hope they cash in enough now on one of my favorite pedigrees.

the new porsche actually looks alot like the new Scirocco they are going to be selling here in germany. I believe the Scirocco will sell quite well here. But I dont think the porsche will if they will even market it here.
