wat a beautiful loon i like the way the juggler is used to keep the babies as warm as body temp i took a class on these once.

I have a Loon couple with one off spring on my lake. My Husband and I have never seen such attentive parents. They watch out for that little one every minute, it is so beautiful to watch.

Loons are NOT ducks. they're a totally different species. They are fantastic swimmers, and great to hear and listen to.. so relaxing...

How special, sweet and how did you get so close to the mother loon. I know how protective the mother can be towards her baby. This year I had an opportunity to watch a family of loons, the father, mother and baby. It was quite the experience.
