  • Stockport is where? USA? UK?

  • @koasterkav Stockport is in the UK,south of Manchester. Before Stockport Town Hall, the organ was in the the Free Trade Hall, which was Manchester`s concert hall. Have a look at the Town Hall web site for pictures.

  • Stockport is where? Thanks.

  • Excellent!!! 5 stars from me!

Stockport town hall is not an easy instrument to play due to the fact that the pipes are 100 miles behind you and the delay really can slow you down. It took me 3 visits to really get to grips with it!!!

  • what a freaky organ!

  • Well played!!

  • I know the organ chambers are at the back of the hall in Stockport. Does this make a big difference to the delay?

  • I was not really aware of any delay----it plays very easily. If you wish to play it,I`ll send you the contact details. Alan.

  • That would be fantastic! If you've listened to my wartime medley on the Miditzer then you will have noticed I'm hardly the world's greatest organist, but I love all things cinema organ relatd and have yet to play the real thing. I'm in North Lanarkshire (near Glasgow), but it'd be worth the trek. Is there a practice fee?

  • Wonderful WurliTzer; is it the Stockport Town Hall Organ? Nicely played "Tea for Two" too! = D
