That plasma canon was in the first Terminator. It's the scene where they show a Terminator break into the resistance underground camp and blow everybody away. The Terminator even shoots the dogs. And then we see Sarah’s photo burn in the fire as Kyle looks up to see the Terminators eyes glowing from it's silhouette.

Also I agree about Neca. These cannot be compared. Used to collect Neca thought they looked perfect until I purchased the Big Chap and original Predator from them. I think Hot Toy's has got to be one of the best plastic figurine producers.

Yes these figurines look tough as metal, but are as fragile as anything can get. Still I love the Figurines I have 2 versions of the T-600 and every person that sees these figures in my show case freak out thinking they are made of metal. Close up it's obviously plastic but does not matter to me....I just pose the figure and never touch it again.

For $220, Hot Toys could've added just a TINY BIT OF SILVER DIE-CAST, as to add to the entire metallic aesthetics of the T-800 design, as well as some componant stability(the pistons, especially), and for a 1/6 scale figure, surely the addition of silver die-cast metal would've greatly benefitted the excellent sculpt.... yet can silver polished die-cast metal actually be molded with the same amount of detail as plastic? Perhaps the lack of proper die-cast construction kept the price at $220...

hey man that vulcan cannon plasma rifle does make it's apperance in the movies. You can see it in the 1st film when Sarah Conner has that dream about the future, when the T-800's raid the human resistance bunker and in the 3rd terminator when John Conner has a dream about the future and it shows all these Endoskeletons in war and several of them are carying the vulcan rifle. See the films again.

It would have made sense if they wanted to say the the endoskeleton fitted a female design, but they had her replicate a male just as easily. Yeah, no kidding. The things having been done to the Terminator series of late are just plain sacrilegious. The action in T3 alone made it acceptable, but there were just too many things I couldn't forgive. For one, the constant comic relief crap. And secondly, why did the TX have to be a female? well NECA is great. figures look awsome but compare to hot toys detail there is no contest. Hot toys sets a very high standard when it comes to 1/6 scale figures and all there pieces are limited so it makes for a very rare collectible once its sold out.

Neca is more like Mcfarlane very well but Hot toys is another different level of movie collectible.

Let me warn you once you get hooked on HOT TOYS you wont stop LOL.

also if you compare the prices, the NECA endoskeleton costs roughly around $10-$25(USD) and the Hot Toys are extremely detailed and have way more points of articulation compared to the McFarlane and NECA ones(about 100 more). And the price for a Hot Toys Endo is about $150(USD). There is another one created by Stan Winston Studios, I think it's made of metal composite, chromed and all. That one costs about $1500(USD)

I just got the battle damage version of this and it looks amazing! They should have made this die cast metal. It does kinda feel cheap (in my opinion) maybe because its plastic. Its scary trying to pose this, feels like your gonna break something. It sure doesnt look cheap tho, the detail is just insane! Keep up the good reviews.
