I found out some disturbing news recently. apparently the Republican and Democratic parties have ways of blocking any third party from becoming powerful. i don't remember how they did it but it wasn't in discrete way or anything, it was blatantly obvious that they were blocking them. i think it was some organization or board that organizations had to pass through to gain a spot on the ballot that was run by the Republican and Democratic Parties. so obviously they wont approve of another party.

Whatever your politics, here's the point: Obama plans on raising taxes.
He says it's just on "the rich", but this is problematic. Why?
1. There is nothing absolute about the $250k number. It's not fixed to anything. It's arbitrary and therefore movable.
2. Every tax ever put into effect has (A) increased in size and (B) morphed to take money from a greater number of people.
In sum, the $250k line WILL shift downward. It's the nature of taxation. This is BAD public policy. I hope youth think.

I Agree if someone works twice as hard as everyone else, goes to school for 18 or 20 years and gets ahead so that they can support their family they should give 40% away. Obama will turn this country socialist.

One thing to remember, the President dose not make change. For some reason many people seem to think so. He has the power to veto, and to go to war. So if you think change, think congress. Perhaps thats were we need change? I have spoken.

We must first start by eliminating the electoral college. It has stolen our individual voices as citizens and keeps many away from the polls simply because they know their vote is meaningless. Then we must do something to break the back of the two party system that is sucking this country dry while they pretend to stand in defiance of one another. We as a nation are slowly dying while we wander the landscape, little more than zombies.
