All I'm saying is, Demi really didn't ''work'' for a record deal. She was on Disney prior to her musical career. She had it handed to her basically.

Let's take Joan Jett for an example of a real artist.

She ran away from home and was bascially homeless until she struck a record deal with Kim Fowely. She worked for her fame and band.
