I don't like it when people paint on boulders, leave there garbage, or worst of all chipping it. Access fund is a good organization, and alone the fact that this organization exists helps us, to get this problems away from the boulders, woods and mountains. Chris is defiantly the right person, to bring this message to the people.
It is really a step into the right way.
We in Austria have the same problems with our areas, I'm looking hopefully forward to get a organization like that here too.

Boulders don't have feelings and they'll be around long after we're dead. Treating them with"respect" seems a bit over the top. Obv amazing climber though
I once came around the corner of the trail to a favorite boulder to find a**holes had thrown the outhouse from the canyon road above down upon it. A little more respect for the boulder that day would have been nice.
If you're reading this, just want to say I met you in New Paltz, twice, and even though I'm a nobody you treated me with respect. You are a classy dude. Namaste.

@ChillinCherokee
I would hardly call 'not caring about boulders' egocentric.

@ChillinCherokee
I'm sorry.
boulders boulders boulders boulders boulders boulders boulders
Still you'd think there are more important things to protect in the world than pieces of rock.

While I agree boulders don't deserve "respect," it's annoying when people trash a boulder field or tag the rocks. I think it's more of a metaphor.
