  • "& make angels cry".In Torah its well explained that humans can become higher or lower than angels. An angel is a messenger of "The Infinite One".It has no freedom to choose,no will to serve or not.It must serve.Humans have freedom to choose,to serve The Infinite One or not by loving all more than we love ourselves.Or not in which case we find ourselves feeling sorry for "Me,mine,I".For this the angels cry in envy to see a human in physical or spiritual poverty giving to others.

  • Torah explains that a person who identifies with his/her body as "I,me" will never love anyone but themselves.A person who identifies with her/his soul as "Us" as there is One Soul can love any human in the world regardless of who they are.We also have our personal spark of a soul which unites &combines to this One Soul.By concentrating on others rather than ourselves we unite more strongly & Praise The Infinite One of which we are a part.

  • @Rakinda complicted reply on your partsMajnouni

  • I love the rythmic drums in this song. It wouldn't be the same without it. With the power of love and it speaks of the amazing mysteries of life.

  • Where is Berkeley, your Lordship?

  • a true spirit of the 60's, Im so glad this is my generation,....timeless lyrics, with hypnotic melody!

  • Timeless.

  • 52 Misunderstood

  • @amen maybe god is showing us all now, and i acnt but help but know im so ashamed of my life, but god only knows my mistakes and hopefully he will forgive me. but i guess along with everyone else, and im also very hopeful i will be in his presence of something of happiness

  • Just because you're paranoid

Don't mean they're not after you.

  • This is just e message we need right now. Love it. Its funny how everything moves in a circle. The old songs have messges for todays troubles.

  • This is a love the neighbor and to the planet land

  • peace to you to, you idiot

  • Such a beautiful tune, but unfortunately this won't come to pass until Jesus' second coming. There's hope in Jesus, and I choose to believe this! We are free to choose! If you think I'm an idiot for believing in this, you are going to be in for a rude awakening! Mark my words! Peace!

  • @TheAlohagil Prove it or stfu! Not that it matters.A lot of people feel the same as me.We wouldn't want to spend all eternity with a bunch of crazy chrstians. If it makes you more comfortable to BELIEVE that you have an imaginary friend in the sky who loves you and will punish all your enemies in the end, good for you.But it is your BELIEF system that you have FAITH in.

  • OH PLEASE Yessssssssssss!!! Peace....smile on your sister and your brother, come on!!!

  • tdraghi70, you are so right. The media always make life and the environment look dangerous. Despite how things may seem, the majority of people are decent and have decent values, and we should take heart from this. Everyday we see examples of human goodness. Only a sad minority want to create conflict or harm.

  • I'm jamming to this in school.

  • God I wished I lived through the Woodstock era. I think it was where Love was at it's highest point in America. The respect for life, love, self and others has deminished. I love you all wheather I get that love back or not. GREAT FUCKING SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrTaketripnow We can do it again...

  • I love this song it brings happiness to me

  • Yessssss

  • There's a version on YT of this with David Crosby, Steve Stills, Graham Nash, John Sebastian & Joni Mitchell singing it...check it out folks - Peace.

  • Take Heed to this message and then DO IT!! Peace to all!! :D

  • Oh, how I wish.

  • peace and love to everybody

  • peace love and micro-dot!

  • anybody know what the pic is at :38 ?

  • @mossyoakpowerstroke Looks like an angel leaning to the left.

  • @goodthing52 angels can't turn right, only facist dogs fly crooked like that.

  • Listen to the words and if you hear the song I sing, you will understand, you hold the key to love and fear...you decide which it is for you and all of us... we are all one... Peace and Love, is what I want for all

  • now 46 years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark —that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back

  • There was madness in any direction, at any hour. If not across the Bay, then up the Golden Gate or down 101 to Los Altos or La Honda .... You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning ....So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark —that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

  • This is the quintessential song. Everything works- lyrics, harmonies, instruments - 'mood,' 'feeling' 'message' ... It may not be the 'perfect' song, but it is as close as I've ever heard.

  • Come together is much better

  • This is my favorite song of all time. It says what wrong with mankind in general. Too much hate and not enough true love for one another. I listen to this song daily.

  • YYYYEEEEAAAHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I sure wish that the world would listen & hear the message of this song. It's a great song to start your day withbefore you go out and face the world.

  • Aug. 16th. 1969. Saturday morning at Woodstock , I remember about 50 of us singing the chorus to this over and over waiting for the music to begin.Everybody knew this song back then. :)

  • Was not one of my favorites when I was young. However, heard it again recently and thought it was wonderful. The guitar sounds, mellowness and 60s messages make it nostalgic and just plain beautiful. Definitely, a signature song of the 60s. Placed in the top 10.

  • fear and loathing brought me here

  • @bellend689 How they put this music over the great wave speech in that movie is incredible

  • Nirvana brought me here.

  • This song and Joe Cocker's Woodstock version of "With A Little Help From My Friends," are at the top of my list.

  • Wow, that's a classic Ringo beat(hi hat accent)!!!! CLASSIC!!!!!!

  • Did ya know that Clearchannel Communications Co. who own alot of radio stations banned this song from radio stations playlst after Sept. 11 because they said the lyrics were TOO CONTROVERSIAL ?

  • imagin ........if everyone believed this....

  • i looooove this song!!!!!

  • Positive

  • I heard this the other day and it changed my life, I've always been extremely tolerant but now I'm a lot more embracing.

  • WHEN I WAS AN ALIEN

  • The song is as relevant today as it was then, probably more so today considering all the hate there is in the country, hell the world for that matter.

  • The intro reminds me of part of a Yes song I can't put my finger on.

  • I really love this song and I can totally relate to this song right now and it's very relevant to what this world is becoming today.

  • listen...

  • "ohhh god did you eat all this acid?" .. "THATS RIGHT! .... MUSIC!"

  • sounds for the soul

  • Give me a friggin

    break!

  • WHEN YOU VOTE THERE ARE TWO PARTYS...THE PARTY OF NO NO NO AND THE PARTY OF YES YES YES.

  • The Chorus is the intro of territorial pissing from nirvana lml

  • although i didn't like hippies i love the music

  • I have been an optimist all my life; always thinking peace will be at hand, Up until the "Occupy Wall Street," movement, I thought for sure activism in the United States was dead. I hope the occupy movement will lead to a larger movement, hopefully for peace, that we saw in the '60's and early 70's. Again, I am an optimist.

  • It's crazy that terrorists, and even our own soldiers, can kill without any guilt put on their shoulders. I'm glad that we have some form of protection, but I just hate hearing talk about all of these guns and explosions and shit. And with trash like Call of Duty, even kids want to get into the action of guns. Violence has drastically influenced this country for the worse.

  • It's TIME in the History of the Whole Human Race where we MUST ALL, No longer let Religious, Racial or Cultural separation stand in our way, for the WORLD MUST NOW "UNITE!" and come together to finally EXPOSE the Hidden Parasitic Zionist/Jewish Menace who are at this very moment preparing to ILLEGALLY INVADE yet another Arab Country IRAN! IF(?) WE do NOT "UNITE" AS ONE VOICE: Then we can ALL Forget about Social; Religious and Cultural "FREEDOM!" Read: wake-upbeforeitstoolate(dot)com 4TRUTH

  • "War is not healthy for children and other living things"

  • Now this is what I call music! <3

  • I think this is the best song EVER!!!!

  • Yes! Come on people NOW. Love one another! Its easy if you try...I get by with a little help from my friend. Imagine.

  • yes i argee that woodstock 1999 was horrible they cant recrate something like this and iam no from this time iam34 but i love this music

  • Remember about 50 of us singing this at Woodstock while waiting for music to start. Then Richie Havens showed up. Good way to start it off.

  • I think we should all call our local stations and ask them to start playing this song again as a start of a new dialogue.

  • I remember living in San Francisco when this song played on the radio constantly.... beautiful song that captured the times.... 1969 in San Francisco

  • I don't know about you people, but the events of Woodstock 1999 sort of ruined the spirit of the concert for me.

  • The ultimate hippie song.

  • the best version of this fantastic classic.

  • My favorite song of all time. And I have been listening to music now for 38 -40 years. Still the greatest song of all time.

  • @writer125 I remember this from when I was child and have just rediscovered it. It's a wonderful song.

  • @writer125 me too I always crank this to eleven when i'm in the car!!

  • come now people, this is a nonpartisan request that requires a small investment in people.

  • happy 70 birthday to one of the youngbloods

    rob

  • I dont want to debate this just my oppion,I was blessed to be released form evil that I din,t even relize I was part of."God not religion allowed me to see the mechanic,s of evil,It has been using man for decades,it has always been here and has God almost shut out, the Goverment with it absence of God will take total control soon, just as written,I am limited to explain all, just fill in dots or message me and I tell you more.."God Bless Us ALL:in THE Name of the Father,The Son an Holy Spirit

  • Awesome song!! why do people dont care for each other? and through life away so easily? Im glad that people Occupy! All Countries Fall, we are falling, maybe in the next 20-30 yrs, wake up America!

  • djk28161-indeed! The 60's & 70's was almost a magical time to live through. We all cared about the world & each other...

  • Very timely song, even today! For God's sake world, love one another!

  • @tattoosue54 True....When He returns for us ...many will be surprised that He will love and accept all people...regardless of color creed or orientation

  • Then you just complely contradicted yourself. If you're saying that people will always fight, then won't they still fight if they come from the same country? I also think that you're being pesamistik (ya, i know that it's not spelled right), we need happiness and hope, not people that say that people will always fight, and also, you should read the book "no exit" by Sartre, its a book that says that hell is other people, and that seems like something you would like. Anyway enjoy the music.

  • this song reminds me of forest gump lol

  • When I was an alien...

  • ive got a theory, its called. hug your brother!

  • bring all troops home. end both needless wars. love is the answer.

  • @andyman78411 If we stop our wars the we will be considered "Weak" by other countries for not showing our power, thus bringing more wars.

  • @MegaMan6947 Interesting theory.

  • @andyman78411 The only way i can see to end all wars is to absorb all other countries into our own. Thus making one big country with no one to fight against.

  • @MegaMan6947

Have you ever heard of civil war? Also, people would still speak diffrent languages, and would edventualy reseperate, and you can't just kill them if they do. Now, dont get me wrong, I'm all for peace and happyness and Love and all that good hippy stuff, I just don't think that the way to atain it is by one country to control the whole world.

  • @MrApplesaus It's the only way. :L

  • @MegaMan6947

Realy? The only way for world peace is by world domination? Seems a bit paradoxal if you ask me, and i disagree, i belive that people can co-opperate with each other.

  • @MrApplesaus They CAN, but they wont. As long as there are 2 people on the planet there will always be disagreements. People will fight. It's been like this for the past 1 billion years. and it will always be that way.

  • whoever is below me here seems to be off in some sort of astral plane beyond all comprehension... please reiterate.

  • No jews pls...they`ve proven over the history that they aren`t human beings...even they call us gentiles

  • @scarletier what?! first of all, that makes no sense. "gentile" is just a word meaning "non-jew." it's not a negative term, and has no negative connotations. and two, i know of no evidence to support your claim that jews have "proven" that they "aren't human beings." that is utterly false and disgusting. if you feel that way, you need to actually *listen* to this song a few more million times. like, say, *six million.*

  • @scarletier Please no Nazi bullcrap on this song! Love, Peace and acceptance is what will save this world...there's no room for hatred.

  • we live in the garden of eden, dont know why we want to tear it down

  • We need another Woodstock

  • @1998katlynn ...with all the same people too

  • @1998katlynn Aren't three of them enough? lol

  • @1998katlynn TOTALLY, but with real music from real artists - played the way it should be played from the heart and core, not packaged up with pyrotechnics to help sell downloads, lol. I miss this kind of purity in melodies today. Some artists have it today, but it's so rare and even some that have it are 'restructured' for marketing purposes :-( John Lennon would be even sadder today than he was then.

  • @1998katlynn 'There is a comment on this music video that 'We need another Woodstock' ... we have it now!

Stand up; use your voice, along with the '99%' whom already have stood up.

We are holding hands, locking arms, and singing our songs. One nation, indivisible, under the Great Creator, with liberty and justice for all! America, a place where ALL are Created EQUAL, and have certain inalienable rights!'

  • @1998katlynn Woodstock is cool, but that was towards the end of the movement . . . What we need are a generation kids who know what they are doing . . . that and more LSD . . . PEACE

  • @ImHighRiotNow420 This generation need massive doses of LSD and Mescal stat!

  • @1998katlynn

Impossible! Not enough talent out there to sustain a one hour show of innovative, creative MUSIC, let alone three days of it! LOL

  • @1998katlynn you're right... but the GOOD Woodstock from 1969.... not those more recent horrible re-makes that resulted in rapes and riots.

  • @danpfd ...Yes, mankind has changed dramatically since Woodstock....Greed has taken over their hearts, and left them with no empathy but self-serving....This song is inspirational for us to look within ourselves and learn to love others once again....cheers.......

  • @bugaboobetty Greed didnt exist before Woodstock? I think it did

  • @bugaboobetty I agree, this is just a reminder that we should take time to look within our hearts, and to be peaceful ourselves, so that we may show peace to others. Peace brothers and sisters.

  • @bugaboobetty Are you insane? Wars/Prejudice and overall hate go in cycles and nothing has changed. Ask any american about the terrorists and they will speak about them like they are Black or someone else they hate based on Race Religion or Creed. Countries are still being invaded , peoples rights being violated , priests raping kids etc etc etc yet you think this hasnt happened before Woodstock...You must be very young or naive but thanks for the chuckle

  • possibly...this weekend a stranger was very kind to me in a way that completely reminded me of this song and of the fact that we might not be as horrible or as screwed as we think...we cannot let the media make us believe that the evil people have won or are completely in control. There are great people out in this world. You just have to find them.

  • @bugaboobetty Speak for yourself - You want peace? start by making it. Any fool can be

    a critic.

  • @bugaboobetty i wouldnt say that greed is taking over there hearts is a change. what i mean is that people where just as bad back then as they are now. people have always been self serving with their own best intrest in mind. there are simply more people now making the problem more noticable. the rest of it is right on though

  • @budsAok420

If you look at it, some of the most greedy people I know were once Ex-Hippies, who now feel entitled to everything they own and get.

  • @1998katlynn They did do another Woodstock. The problem is that peoples' hearts have grown colder...they no have the empathy for others because people have forsaken their relationship with the only person that is love...God. Only when they open their hearts to Him again will we see real love in the world.

  • @1998katlynn Woodstock 2012? Yes, yes. (:

  • @AshleyLiesYo

there is a woodstock 2012. theres a woodstock festival every year.

  • @1998katlynn DEFINATELY!

  • @vymrdejsi ...stick to Toby Keith

  • Respond to this video... "in nam fighting for this music"?....Dude...you don't get it.

  • @vymrdejsi ....this music was against fighting, young 'un....

  • A great song...

  • TERRITORIAL PISSINGS!

  • perfect example of San Fran acid rock

  • Calm down peeps. enjoy

  • product h?

    rhehehheh

  • such a hippie song!!!!

  • RicPhlare you need to go back to fucking school.. Colin Powell was a conservative. Typical opinionated fucking asshole spewing out nonsense at a rate which cannot be stopped by now. GOOD LUCK LIVING IN REALITY!

  • "Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents-it was loaned to you by your children." -Native American proverb

  • @Badgaldinger Thanks for that. I'm going to run with it now.

  • @Badgaldinger

So true, and well said, too.......cheers to you!

  • My Art School Chum Mark D (where ARE you, mark D???) told me that when he was on the road to Woodstock (1969), there was a HUUGE traffic jam - not a single care was moving -- but everyone had tuned their radios to a station that was playing this song. And this song, and that Peace, Love, Hope, Nirvana were blowing in the breeze that day, on that road.

  • Thank you for sharing, this brought tears to my eyes, absolutely fantastic.

  • Following the September 11 terrorist attacks, the media conglomerate company, Clear Channel Communications, included The Youngbloods' version of the song on a list of "lyrically questionable" songs that was sent to its 1200 radio stations in the United States.

  • @mpjgbx You're 100% correct. The pro liberal media did just that. This is the same media that now supports the NYC mosque project at ground zero and also supports the "regime changes" in Libya, Iraq etc.

  • @PooPooOnMyNewShoe - It's all 'peace and love' with liberals until you disagree with them.

  • @RicPhlare lol, you're right about that. To disagree with them is to be a "racists" I guess.

  • @RicPhlare If you dont believe in peace and love then why do you come here and listen to this ? Because you never wanted to listen to the song.

  • @goodthing52 - I listened. I like the song. Learn to comprehend what you read. Where does it say I don't believe in peace & love? You can believe in that stuff without being a lefty-liberal socialistic half-wit.

  • @RicPhlare .....LOL....No...you can't.

  • @RicPhlare ....and it's all STUPIDITY and RACISM with "conservatives"...."conservatism" being nothing more than politically correct white supremacy. Have a nice day.

  • @PeluMaad - Thanks for illustrating my point. A 'racist' is anybody who disagrees with a liberal. Got it.

  • @RicPhlare I never said a damn thing about a "liberal"....."Conservatism" is politically correct white supremacy...comment on that or go kiss Koch ass, dipshit.

  • @RicPhlare ...a racist is any braindead white person who votes against their own best interests to vote "white" (GOP). The Kochs love you morons.

  • @PeluMaad Actually, a racist can be any race put against a different race...

Makes no sense, because we're all one race : Human. Might as well love each other:)

  • @ZombyDyno ....No....racism is a function of one group's power over another. Racism ALWAYS involves systematic domination and exploitation of a weaker group. Racism is a group activity not an individual bias. Think about it.

  • @PeluMaad mmmmmmmnoooo...>

    We can agree, to disagree.

  • @PooPooOnMyNewShoe ....only brainwashed imbeciles still think there's a "liberal media"...the next smart "conservative" I meet will be the first.

  • @PeluMaad My daddy always told me "son, you can't argue with stupid, they'll only beat you with experiance". so I won't try to educate you:) peace.

  • @PooPooOnMyNewShoe .....LOL....I can see "daddy" now....spitting tobacco juice and firing up that moonshine still. Yeeeeeeeehaw!!!!!!.....Don't worry about educating me hillbilly...get a clue for yourself GOP sucker.

  • Nirvana Fucking rocks

  • We had it all once, all the children can have it again!

  • MARCIA DIANNE ARGUELLES I HOPE YOU SEE THIS COMMENT AND FIND MY E-MAIL ADDRESS WRITE TO ME AT davejthomson66@yahoo.ca ITS BEEN A LONG TIME BUT I STILL LOVE YOU. DAVE. IM SORRY FOR PAST MISTAKES.

  • Beautiful:)

  • Territorial Pissings.

  • @peachkey fuck off

  • @JFguitar22 Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try and love one another right now.

  • I have been listening to this everyday. With the world's problems going on I just can't understand why respecting others is sooo hard. Think of others, how they feel or would feel. Too much of a "ME" attitude everywhere. PLEASE can't we have some peace???☮☮☮☮

I love life(not necessarily my life at present, but life), I love ppl,I feel bad. It hurts when I see some of the things going on in the world. Maybe I care too much, maybe I should just think of myself.........no, I wasn't raised that way
