James Carr could have and should have been a superstar. Radio here in the Northeast would not play much soul so soulmen like James, Toussaint, Joe Tex and so many others were only famous in the South. Shame on all those music programmers here in the Northeast. Even nowadays the Oldies(So )called) won't touch much soul unless it was Wilson, Otis, James B. and a cou[ple of others.
I was listening to Amy winehouse Pandaora channel and this song came on and instanly loved it... been listening to him and otis redding alot now..music now a days is crap..
