@vioni1 the lyrics are: "Walls of the city that once stood proud/ Dust in the wind, rubble on the ground/ Towers that once stood to kiss the sky/ Are no where to meet the longing eye..." Hope that helps! :)
I was watching this, enjoying it ever so much when I remembered the ending to FFX and broke into tear's, my mum came running in cause she thought I bit my tongue off
I was roaming the Zanarkand Ruins area in the game to increase the exp of my party members in FF X. And seriously, this music was so beautiful, I was just hooked to the bliss the music produced.
Wow...the singers almost sound exactly like the Fayth from the game...It's like Yojimbo, Anima, and Ixion decided to join in...amazing...truly amazing
This is awesome (in the original sense of the word), and it's also interesting to note that it's a powerful arrangement of Hamauzu's beautiful arrangement of Uematsu's sublime original song @_@
This music is phenomenal... Uematsu is a modern day genius.. I would definitely put him in the hall of fame with Mozart, Beethoven and anyone esle who are composition geniuses.... He's probably better....
Emotionally yes, but from an objective point of view his music is much simpler. Much of the merit of Classical music comes from its sheer complexity. That's not what my perception of good music is, but for some...
@Hupuable Agreeable; Uematsu makes music breathe.... I love how intricate he uses emotion in his pieces.. of course the complexity spanning from classical music are truly displayed through his perceptions... its like "he explains" Final Fantasy through music.... objectively of course, his music simplicity is enjoyable for any ear to listen
@Hupuable we dont actually give a fuck of complexity: music is no complexity, but emotion. Otherwise crap like dream teater and stuff would be the best music evar
@sciallappero ah, what? I agree with what you're saying, but Dream Theater has some absolutely fantastic music(Octavarium..). The lyrics can be a bit meh, but the music behind it is amazing. Just because it's technically complex and isn't always heartwrenchingly emotional doesn't make it any less great music. Musical tastes is one thing, but labeling other music and putting it down like that is just closed minded(Especially if you're talking about Dream Theater I mean really?!).
Such a beautiful arrangement - I was there, and yes, I cried.
Also, I can't help but brag a little: when I was at the airport the following day, me and my brother met Arnie Roth, who was getting on the same plane as us. He talked with us for a good while, when suddenly, Nobuo Uematsu himself walked by! We got autographs from both - a chance we missed at the concert because of those long lines.
If I didn't have pictures to prove it, I wouldn't believe it myself - I mean, what are the chances?
I cried so hard during this. And even my friend, who didn't know either game or its music, cried with me. This shows how awesome Uematsu's music is. It reaches your heart, no matter who you are.
