bil elliot wins brickyard, newamn wins daytona ,kurt bush wins all star , first victory for kasey khane, keselosky nationwide chiampion, ward burton wins daytona, these are the best moments for these driver all driving dodges.........
when they started, the elliotts busted their asses to race. bill drove the hauler, ernie turned the wrenches, dan changed tires and kept stats.. a truly hard working dedicated family.. thats racing the hard way. they earned everything they got.. awesome bill from dawsonville. great job champ..
Its sooo cool seeing someone win who had connections with Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Neil onnet, Geff Bodine, and Tim Richmona and others. It's actually kinda chilling knowing this man was racing with the racers of the past and killed them in some races and he still has the mojo to dominate the field now.
i remember seeing some drivers that are 15-25 years younger than bill after the race, and they were drenched in sweat and absolutely exhausted, but Bill seemed fine, and i guess Wallace was fine too, Indianapolis is a special kind of track
Million Dollar Bill!! Record setting 11 wins (85')in addition to winning the Winston Million(Daytona,Darlington,Talledega) He's the reason for restrictor plates! A Talledega 202.398mph pole and the 1987 record setting lap of 212.809mph and up during the race. 1988 Champ!! Although he really should have been in 85',87',and 92'.From 84 - 02' voted most popular driver 16 times.ESPN driver of decade (80's). Hall of Fame 2007! One of the BEST! AWESOME BILL from DAWSONVILLE!!!
Yes Jeff did, but that was within 33 races. Bill only had 28 races in 1985. If he had 5 more races there's no doubt he would've racked up more wins. He was unstoppable that year. The only way they could stop him was for NASCAR to keep changing the rules around on him. A Faouche!?! HAHA!! That's great!
I'm glad Bill got to win at this track before retiring from driving, he deserved it...

it was easily over 100 degrees on the track, and must have been 20-30 degrees hotter in-car. and the old guys end up lasting the longest
