They can be kept together for short periods if similar size, although it is quite careless due to parasites. I have a few Frilled Dragons and they can be highly temperamental when faced with My bearded Dragon. Obviously up to owner's preference at the end of the day.
frilled Dragons live in gum/ eucaliptus trees. often around a small billabong or the like. bearded dragons live all over australia, mainly in the north and south.
actually frillies are from semi arid woodlands and cross over into bearded dragon territory regularly. bearded dragons live in both true deserts and arid woodland foothills. check out the alice springs region of australia where the inland bearded dragon is from.

Only problem is they have different humidity requirements, one or the other of them will eventually end up sick...shame really... :(
