  • lol windows XP

  • Any card qith a mag strip will open those doors. But who wants to use sucky bofa any ways

  • The problem is not windows, it is the bill depositor. They have been replaced. The reason they are not like a soda machine is that they can accept 40 bills at once. folded money was a problem with it. also notice the money is counted then you are asked if the deposit should be made, the money is in escrow for that time and can be returned to you.

  • the new one suc_

  • 1. This is why I just go inside during open hours.

    2. This is why I use chase.

  • The modern Banking system manufactures money out of nothing.

The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of

hand that was ever invented. Banks can in fact inflate, mint

    and unmint the modern ledger-entry currency. -- Major L. L. B. Angus

  • The real problem I see here is that these ATMs are run by Windows. While it may be convenient, it is the least secure operating system on the planet. If BofA would simply use a dedicated operating system there wouldn't be these kinds of problems -- or at least not nearly as often....

  • Gosh.......no need for the incessant beeping every 2 seconds while you're depositing......

  • its run by windows

  • these machines make me think there is a midget on the other side just stealing the cash with a soundboard lol

  • 4:15 LOL USB device disconnected and then reconnected :P

Damn those ATM's are loud as hell!

  • I agree that you are sort of putting the bills in all screwed up and are most likely trying to make your video more interesting by doing this, however, I also agree that that system is very dumb. Why not just have a cash insert like all vending machines have that can read bills....i'm fairly sure there are change machines out there with those that can read up to 20 dollar bills, so surely they can make it read all. I think it's an attempt to make it simpler in an early, beta, stage.

  • At least it saves some paper

  • im kind a curious remember when the machine couldn't count his 20's and it wouldn't open the cash door and asked him how much money he previously placed in and he put 100. well i wonder if he typed in 200 or maybe 500 if the atm would give him credit.

  • gee dude - so you got your deposit in your account - oh my god if i see a red boa machine ill remember you next time i go make a $200 deposit and yea! lol

  • At which point it produced a receipt for a $300 deposit. WTF???

Of course the toll free line said the call center was closed.

I'm calling the BOA customer service number first thing in the morning.

  • 4:17 USB Unplugged sound

  • lol @ the win xp plug-in/out sound

  • @aleziz I would be very worried if i heard those sounds.

  • This is a Diebold ATM. I too experienced long delays on a Diebold ATM at a Chase bank when making a cash withdrawal.

  • Why do you act so suprised?! BOA sucks!

This happens all the time with me. Except I am at an outdoor atm in an isolated area, and the ATMS around here are extremely slow!

  • I've (tried) to use cash readers on after hours petrol pumps and car park meters and they have never worked. But what would make me nervous about this ATM is that ding-ding sound from Windows...

  • 4:15 haha i like the usb detected noises and why won't it stop beeping!!!

  • this is scary.. it's making windows sounds all the time... i'm gonna puke

  • that sound is the sound of a USB device being connected using a windows machine. i know sound. windows vista uses that sound as it's defult sound when you connect a USB device to the machine. it also sounds like the machine's software may have a virus embedded within it's programming. in other words it shouldn't act like it's doing in this video lol. weird weird weird weird weird.

  • The beeping is so annoying. I think there are few red Bank of America ATMS in florida just regular ones

  • DO NOT DEPOSIT CASH INTO AN ATM !!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE JUST LOOKING FOR PROBLEMS !!!

  • its a scam. the atm machine ate my 280 dollars

  • god these machines are annoying... beeping like crazy!

  • you have to iron it =) before deposit

  • note jammed, bills are stuck somewhere and the machine is verifying how much is stuck inside..very common to machines like these.

  • So.... umm...... WHERE WAS THE ERROR?

  • i work for bank of america, and the atms seem to always have a problem accepting 50s and 100 dollar bills no matter the condition

  • It looks like a big mouth that opens up to take cash. yea what a stupid atm. It's a Glitch and they are going to use this to due away with the atm's so they can chip you DON'T TAKE IT!!!!

  • just the sound of that beep annoys the crap out of me, these new ATMs are designed to make things easier for the bank, not the loyal customer, it's one of the reasons I left BoA

  • that deedoo, doodeh noise is hardware disconnecting and reconnecting in general, and the hardware must have been the money processor

  • xD It's running Windows XP, you can hear the Windows *doink* noise at 1:04 whenever he taps the screen. Interesting.

  • If you are from another bank it automatically takes from your checking...it doesn't give you the choice between savings or checking. All other ATMs give you the choice between accounts.

  • You should have entered a $1000.00 to see if it would have worked. screwd Bank of Anti America most evil bank of them all.....!

  • It did not reed the $100 bill because the fedder was not able to "grab" the cash.

  • Also, it did not read the $20 (X5) cause the bills jammed

  • JOIN the BoA WALKOUT.

I dumped BoA, they're just finding more and more ways to scam and rob American citizens of THEIR money.

  • That's a diebold ATM with a bna note acceptor. Very crappy design...go with NCR bna..it "grabbs" the cash. I can't believe they would have a poor design like that. Thx for sharing. That second sound u heard was the device disabling itself

  • @1Fedex I have to drive an extra five miles to use a BofA NCR ATM to make deposits. I refuse to make deposits in person (usually because most of my transactions are after hours) or refuse using the Diebold machines because of its faulty design. (BTW, ATM = FAIL for using Windows XP as its running OS, lol)

  • I just deposited $900 cash (9x$100) in a Chase ATM earlier today (I always hand it directly to the teller but today is Sunday & I needed money in the account by Monday so I was forced to use the ATM). Got the same "we were unable to accept some of your cash" then the door opened and two hundreds were there, I removed them, pressed continue & it said "Sorry there was an error with your transaction and it could not be processed. Please contact the branch for more information." Don't use these ATMs

  • Update: I went to the Chase branch where the ATM stole my cash as soon as they opened and told them the situation. The teller said she filed a claim and I could expect the money in my account withing the next couple of days... We'll see how that turns out... This shit is not worth the hassle; between issues of carding/skimming, transaction fees and plain old card/cash eating it's really better to wait until a teller is available...

  • lol hardware reinsert sound in ATM!

  • As everyone said, The reason you got an error when you inserted the twenties is that you put them in quite crooked and messy, That noise you hear running is a motor which is processing the bills and running them through a verifier.

When you put them in like that, They jammed the wheel which moves them past the verifier, and then you got the "Could not process" error. The door didn't re-open because there were no bills to retrieve.

  • Its both machines in Florida...the open mouth is Diebold...the little slot is NCR...and as for you sir, look how you put the $100 bill in first and then look how you set those $20's in there....all crooked...some not straight....you are dealing with a sensitive machine that must read your bill and be perfectly adjusted to read money so no countuerfit bills go through & u are just grabbing bills & sticking them in there like your paying for your groceries at a store

  • I don't know where this is but this is the older machine. In Florida it isn't a big open tray, it's a slot like a vending machine only thicker. You slide your bills in up to 25 at a time (it may be 50). It doesn't matter which way the bills are face up/down. As much as I hate BofA I've never had a problem.

  • your using a machine that needs to be operated., and used proerly. and a) your putting the bills in all ruffled up and b) if its happern 4 times then you should figure its just you not knowing how to use the damn thing .

  • I guess these are only in some areas. I'm in Pennsylvania and have never seen these before.

  • You just heard the Windows XP hardware removal and reinsertion sound from an ATM haha!

  • u are such a bitch. wat is so confusing? ur using crinkled up decrepit dollar bills JUST LIKE WHEN U USING A VENDING MACHINE STRAGHTEN OUT THE MONEY SO THE MACHINE WILL PROCESS IT...MACHINE , COMPRENDE? MACHINE?

  • Re-watch, genius

  • the second time was 80.00

  • Those ATM's are great and I never have problems. Next time try not to use all crinkled up bills that would help. And the whole point of it is so you have access to the money instantly with an envelope deposited you would not. Also when you manually entered the amount that is just like doing an envelope deposit it puts your money in a special spot in the ATM and a BOA employee verifies the amount the next day you just dont have access to your money right away.

  • fuckin windows!

  • I fucking love technology.

  • i had no problems with CHASE ATM machines

  • i can understand your distress. i bank w/ boa but i haven't had any problems w/ the new atms. my wife banks w/ wells fargo and they also use the new atms. they're still new so it's not like the bank is trying to screw people over. the system isn't infallible so some errors may occur. still...when the money is being messed with, it would make anyone uncomfortable.

  • I went to put $300 cash into one of these new machines and walked away because I had a bad feeling about it. Now I am glad I did.

BoA needs to put an option for users to accept or cancel transactions in case the machine did not read the bills correctly. That way you can get your cash back if you think the machine is in error.

  • It has to be the machine not the fact that you had the edge of one of the bills folded up..

  • they wanna make you wait till the 100$ devalues to around 20 bucks try and deposit toilet paper its worth more

  • The machines are intended to read $20 bills. Find a place to break big bills and deposit 20's. It's probably fraud prevention.

  • BofA ATM's don't accept bills bigger than $20.

  • My ATM at BECU is working fine when I deposit cash without a envlope.

  • BOA total crooks~ people shouldn't use them.

  • You are banking with crooks who cove preferred treatment to mexican criminals and charge $5 to cash your check unless the sucker who accepts it from you agrees to open an account. You expect decent service from thieves? Move your account to a legitimate bank.

  • omg that sucks!

  • I am here in AWE watching this! Please watch my ATM B of A horror story when I upload it this weekend! I have had this happen to me with cash 5 flippin times now and I have called and complained... I kept the receipts, they took every deposit I made BACK out of my account saying I cannot prove I deposited the cash and that their ATM's don't do this!! The Bank Manager told me the machine needed calibrated that I was using!! SO MAD!!

  • This has happened to me :( I no longer trust those atms.

  • wow...dumbass broke the machine...

that has never happened to me.. I'm a frequent depositor of both cash and checks...

I find them to be very convenient...

  • thats weird.... i really never use atm's to deposit cash.... i always deposit checks only and i'm glad i no longer have to add up all of my checks that i deposit....

  • Chances are good the thing isnt going to work right if you put the bills in all folded up like you did the first time with the $100, and then the top $20 being all jacked up the second time.

  • WOW! Its just one machine out of all of them out there!! I probably got fixed within a week and that was one of the first ones. Its probably fixed my now.

  • i am scarred now to put my money in now.

I just recently got a checking and savings account. I haven't got the chance to deposit anything yet. I am not sure if i should do it now.

  • I wonder if those doors will open if you use a card from another bank.

    Competitor Spy

     Access Denied. LoL

  • Most of them do. They charge you like a $2-3 fee for using another bank's atm.

  • The ATM's that are inside the bank are a lot more safer, especially at night.

  • Eh, I wouldn't trust an ATM to do that even if it said it could deposit. I'd rather go in and talk to the teller.

  • ~We dont have those here...like we dont have the door thingys either lol..and yu are like caged in someone could kick your butt in there ..im sure cameras hehe but still...oh my so much hi tech things nowdays~

  • I've never, ever, trusted an ATM machine with a deposit! I certainly would never just stick a hundred bill in there.

If you're going to keep doing that, then be sure and video each transaction!

To be fair, I think requiring a card swipe to enter the atm room is a good idea.

But I wouldn't trust a BofA scanner with my hundred dollar bill for a million dollars!

  • looooooooool that machine is fantastic. i want one in my house

  • Haha sounds like they're using Windows OS. Some device got unplugged, so the connection must be faulty. (I had an Ethernet card do the same thing on my older desktop) At least you didn't get a blue screen Shock, and got your receipt, otherwise, unless you were record, you would've been really screwed.

I'd rather deal with real tellers. The lines here aren't bad at Friday about 5:15pm (my bank's open until 6pm friday). I wonder why they don't use the bill feeder like with the vending machines?

  • Maybe the reason why it didn't work is that you inserted various 20 dollar bills at once. Maybe that's simply too much for the poor machine and it gets all messed up by counting so many bills, lol. I'd rather insert single bills or not insert anything at all. Don't trust those machines.

  • whoa how about sliding one of the hundreds my way? :) heck ill even take a twenty! haha.

i bank with bank of america as well. where is that bank? it looks way nice

  • That's just stupid. My bank (which is different than yours), at least the last time I checked, uses envelopes. I'm pretty sure they manually check them every now and then to verify your deposit. They're probably doing this to save time for the employees, but in the long run it takes more of your time and you still have to ask for an employee's help.

This is why I make my deposits in person. Much safer.

  • Cash will be a thing of the past were heading towards a cashless society where it's ones and zeros in a bank account and transactions are made through A biochip implanted in your hand or four head. the murder the American dollar and are anonymity through cash is at risk. It's time for a serious reflection on survival through barter system. I'M NOT TAKEN THE MARK OF THE BEAST the biochip is where I draw the line.

  • Geerup I agree. This is a serious time for serious decisions. I have already said, even unto death, I will not take the mark either. Like you I am a true patriot and Christian.

  • What do you do once you can't buy anymore? Do you stock food and then live as long as the food lasts and then starve to death?

  • I don't put money into those ATMs...only take money out.

  • If the machine jams, it will ask you to input the ammount of your deposit (just as you did) so you get credit. We've had them in AZ for about three years now. I happen to like them as you get automatic credit for your cash deposit. I would suggest, when you make a cash deposit, to crease the bill down the center so its not rolled up at the edge like your bills were. They seem to read bills better that way.

  • The banks own the New World Order. They are getting rid of the cash and setting up for the mark of the beast. They do it on purpose. The money isn't backed by anything, it's printed and controlled and owned by the Rothschilds, not the government. They are bankers. They run the world for the vatican. They change their monopoly money looks all the time.

  • So you're filming the ATM, which in turn is filming you. LOL.
