I never had much luck with compaq's my last one ( now owned by the crackhead or a trash can I dont know)the motherboard just got fried after one year and I promised myself never to invest in another one. So it may have been I just had bad luck maybe. Either I got a dell which is 2 years now and is still working good.

i know. this ep sound was really low to start with for some reason. tried to amp it but then it was all grainy. so its just this ep(and maybe one more dont remember) that will have the crappy sound.
