  • what do u use as ur background?

  • @leosandco

here in germany it is called xaxim.

  • @PumilioTurkey ok i still have no idea but it looks great!

  • @leosandco

    hehe just google for "xaxim"

  • Nsantmyre1208 Looks good I'm gonna be building one soon do uk if like the plant sections at walmart and lows and stuff have broms n stuff? I can't order online 1 second ago

  • @Nsantmyre1208

you should watch out when byuing at places like Walmart. Their plants could have herbicides and other unwelcome substances on them.

  • Hey would a waterfall and the repti fogger provide enough humidity in a 18x18x24

  • how do you heat the cage and do they need uvb

  • @JakesJayas

I only use the upper lights for heating.

  • Oh soo pretty! My dad is a dart frog enthusiast too! I'll be getting my citronella and powder blues soon!

  • @lilnuttyredhead

    hey thats great!

  • do they need water

  • so, if you touch the frog will it poison you?

  • @RedNeckDipper21 Not it they were born in captivity. PDFs are only poisonous in the wild because they eat ants that are themselves extremely toxic. This toxic builds up in the frog and is excreted through their skin. In captivity these frogs are typically fed non toxic insects like crickets, thus rendering them harmless.

  • Wow you have a lot, are the plants real?

  • @TheMikeRoundable

yesthey're all real plants. it is a little jungle of its own.

  • I am curious, how do you clean the cage when the frogs soil it?

  • @purpleskyswhisper

I dont. Humidity and microorganisms take care of it like in the real jungle :)

  • happy pets

  • In the second tank in the vid, is that ficus pumela covering up the walls or something else? Also, you have some mosses in that tank. Names? THANKS!

  • the ground cover on the left tank is a plant with round shape foliage... what is it?

  • Nice! How long did it take you to set this up?

  • really cool vivs dude

  • whats the stuff you have as walls?

  • @idae209

    hi

    its called Xaxim

  • @PumilioTurkey

    thanks

  • how do you clean the tank.step by step.

  • @LobsterPuppet81

    I dont :)

the feeces are washed away by the raining system or by little critters like isopods that I have in the tank.

  • can u hold the damn things or r they just there for show?

  • @tinyt2133

they arevery fragile creatures and not made for playing around like mice or cats/dogs.

    its like having an aquarium.

  • dude thats like 750$ worth of frogs

  • @connorconard

thanks to god i live in Germany, regular frogs like those are quite cheap over here.

  • are thesse easy to mantain? I am planning on making one before my next birthday but I am worried about cleaning and stuff. Will this need constant cleaning or will things like feces and other waste just be decomposed and used by the plants?

  • @carapar56

they are easy to maintain and the feeces aint a problem.

however maintaining enough insects to feed them is quite a hazzle.

  • @PumilioTurkey Well i already breed insects and such so having enough flies should be easy for me.

  • is it safe to mix species like this? I always wanted to create a vivarium but was caustious about mixing the species i wanted....

  • @carapar56 NO... you are never supposed to mix species and for a couple reasons. There can be a lot of violence and aggression between the species, and also it is possible two different species will breed. Breeding two different species is extremely frowned upon in this hobby.

  • These look like professional zoo Vivs, well done! x

  • nice setups.I love dart frogs there so cool. But i love frogs in genral.

  • i want them for xmas

  • where did u buy tose tanks????? :O

  • ony a warning never let dart frogs come into contact with your skin or anything they are extremely poisonouse and can kill immediatly.

  • @ghettodawg50

    lol only wild ones.

the ones in the pet trade are harmless :)

  • @PumilioTurkey heheheh pshhh noobs right? ;)

  • @ghettodawg50 yes and they kill in about an hour

  • @ScientistDavidH2O Due to a change in diet, Poison dart frogs are completely harmless in captivity. :) x

  • @ghettodawg50 Not only are they harmless in captivity, they generally won't kill you unless you have an open wound or you put your hands in your mouth after handling them :) Their poison can't puncture your skin.

  • Beaufitul frogs, and I love the bromeliads & ferns; very well-planned and well planted.

  • @sjlove2bird

    thnx alot

  • These are quite possibly the best vivaria I've seen. I love your goldies, too.

  • @LiamAtRandom

    thnx a lot!

  • are they phyllobates terriblis?

  • @aquablue1099 your fuckin dumb

  • Hi love the frogs and setup, the powderblues look just like my Backhuis.

  • @bustedlegninja

    Bakhuis I mean

  • omg i want those to! where did you bought these?

  • @TheDutchGamers

got them from german frog breeders.

there ought to be alot in the Netherlands too.

search for Peruvian Dart Frogs on google.

  • How much would you say a 10 gallon set-up costs without the frogs?

  • that depends if it self-made or ready-made and it heavildy depends on what u use.

if you use cheap vines and roots and make the walls and the bottom without "xaxim" it should be around 150-200 € I guess.

how big is a 10 gallon tank in inch?

  • @akcoldbliss 20 dollars

  • those in captivity and their offspring loose their poison.

and only several species of them are really deadly in the wild.

  • i never thought of having frogs for pets ?? lol

  • they're much better animals than lizards or fish or other frogs :)

  • nice frogs and setup is very cool looking! Check out my vids of my animals and soon to come leopard geckos and sub if you like :)
