Nsantmyre1208 Looks good I'm gonna be building one soon do uk if like the plant sections at walmart and lows and stuff have broms n stuff? I can't order online 1 second ago
@RedNeckDipper21 Not it they were born in captivity. PDFs are only poisonous in the wild because they eat ants that are themselves extremely toxic. This toxic builds up in the frog and is excreted through their skin. In captivity these frogs are typically fed non toxic insects like crickets, thus rendering them harmless.
are thesse easy to mantain? I am planning on making one before my next birthday but I am worried about cleaning and stuff. Will this need constant cleaning or will things like feces and other waste just be decomposed and used by the plants?
@carapar56 NO... you are never supposed to mix species and for a couple reasons. There can be a lot of violence and aggression between the species, and also it is possible two different species will breed. Breeding two different species is extremely frowned upon in this hobby.
@ghettodawg50 Not only are they harmless in captivity, they generally won't kill you unless you have an open wound or you put your hands in your mouth after handling them :) Their poison can't puncture your skin.
what do u use as ur background?

@Nsantmyre1208
you should watch out when byuing at places like Walmart. Their plants could have herbicides and other unwelcome substances on them.

@carapar56
they are easy to maintain and the feeces aint a problem.
however maintaining enough insects to feed them is quite a hazzle.
PumilioTurkey 1 year ago
@PumilioTurkey Well i already breed insects and such so having enough flies should be easy for me.

How much would you say a 10 gallon set-up costs without the frogs?
akcoldbliss 2 years ago
that depends if it self-made or ready-made and it heavildy depends on what u use.
if you use cheap vines and roots and make the walls and the bottom without "xaxim" it should be around 150-200 € I guess.
how big is a 10 gallon tank in inch?
PumilioTurkey 2 years ago
@akcoldbliss 20 dollars
redblack305 1 year ago
those in captivity and their offspring loose their poison.
and only several species of them are really deadly in the wild.
