Yes. They stopped back in Nov. 2010. Among other things, Steyr's American partner in this, Sabre Defence, ran into some legal issues.

The problem with an AUG is you can't transition to your weak side and shoot without hot brass hitting you in the face. This is a great gun but it's now outdated one of the reasons the F2000 ejects the way it does and one of the problems with a bullpup design. Overall a nice rifle but I'll take an AR over this anyday.

@dhena81 you could Removing the stock's ejection port cover. This should only be undertaken to switch from right-hand ejection to left-hand ejection or vice versa. ...

@dhena81 i know you can switch the sides the brass will come out, but i dont know how easy it is to do.. so probably not possible on the go while trying to get rounds out.

@tippymaster14 Not really, the microtechs have pretty piss poor quality. Had three, got rid of all of them after we spent 9 months sending them back and forth with microtech and never could get them to feed and extract right. The steyr's at least work, but might cost double.

Steyr always has excuses as to why they don't have there guns in stock or why they aren't importing them right now. They usually say it's the economy, or gun sale figures. They need to just import their rifles and hand guns, and stop with excuses. The lag in importation is hurting them more then having to many in stock. Great video. I would love to own one, maybe some day.
