If Russia wanted to claim Georgia, because it was part of the former USSR, the Georgian's would not want that. I believe the way to a peaceful resolution, is independence for South Ossetia. I live in Florida. I could care less if Texas decided it wanted to be part of Mexico, or if New York or Maine wanted to merge with Canada.
