@MrThermionik Thank you :) This is a standard "mini-strat" pup. Btw, I guess if you give it extra 1K or so, the pup might sound even hotter (in a cool way) :)
Got to turn off the tak-mic when doing these demos. I love the sound of the strings being picked up acoustically (a great old studio trick) but it's not allowing us to hear what the pickup really sounds like. BTW, you are a brilliant player.
Thank you for the good words and especially thank you very much for the constructive criticism. Yes, you're right - that mic was off during the recording and I agree, the room sound doesn't provide a very clear picture of the p/up characteristic tone. Anyhow, I must say this is a great pickup, highly recommended.
@Getzen919 Don't forget this is actually a Tele pickup, not Strat... It is very "stratty-sounding" but it's tele-neck-sized. I checked out your guitar videos and I think you already have a great tone! You might like Joe Barden Tele neck or Joe Barden S-Deluxe p/ups, they will both sound killer with the Tone Zone.
If you need a 100% Strat sound, I'm afraid it's not. But very close. Mini-strat in a tele body sounds kind of "bigger", "more round" . In some applications I actually like this sound more than the classic strat. What I think might also work to achieve the strat tone from a telecasetr is a Lace Sensor in the neck position...
I'll try to record a demo with overdrive for you in a couple of days.
Cool tone..... in a hot way (if yah know what I mean). Is it custom wound or one of Scott's standard windings.....

It's pretty Strat-y, but sounds like it's got some Tele and P-90 in there too. I could work with this pickup.

The sound you've achieved has made me believe in this pickup. It'll go great with the Tone Zone S in my strat.
