Yes there is big difference fixier9519 between the crf 250 and the cr 250. The crf 250 is a four stroke, and the cr 250 is a two stroke. All riders know that.

I thought MY old 74 YZ 125A was fast? its nothing compared to this thing, also Have recently bought 86 kx 500 nice cond, feet touch ground better than CR250, still want something i can touch ground with thouigh, im not nuts? but thinking older 74 Suzuki TM 400L at least if nothing else? Depends on a few things, are you an experienced rider? Also, how strong you are.. your balance, and how well you can handle a dirtbike.I have a 2006CRF150R, and i fucking love it. Keep up with the 450's and 250's sometimes even blow them away.

in the dunes a cr500 gas tank will drain crazy fast.. compared to a 125... when your riding steady and dont have to rev it so much.. a cr500 uses way more gas right?

not even close. they use the cr500's for dune riding. they even use stock tanks some times. just becasue its a bigger motor doesnt mean it uses more gas. look at a weed wacker it had like a 1/20 a tank of a dirtbike tank does. and it uses up alot more gas and i have never see any one in dunes ride a cr500 wide open non stop

well yea they get bad gas milage couse 2 stroke doesnt have valves like 4-stroke, when the piston in a 2 stroke goes downward it pushes gases out and sucks new gas/oil in the combustian chamber and as it sucks it in some freash gas gets thrown out the exhaust there fore getting bad gas milage, and if you dont belive me then type in "how 2 stroke motors work" on youtube and they'll explane.
