I downloaded the standard client for LOTRO (12GB), i installed it fine, but now, when i click on the icon to luanch LOTRO, it will not start, but in my processes, i can see the TurbineInvoker, which is the LOTRO launcher, but i CANNOT SEE IT!! D: !!!!

Anyway people who are seaching for a new MMO, I would recommend to give this game a try, it's so awesome! (i like mmorpgs a bit too). It is based on the trilogy, and on the silmarillion a bit i think. ofcaurse there are many new things or changes. But think travelling through middle earth(ffs i loved when i climped up amon soul), helping the famous heroes :D

i haven't bought siege of mirkwood yet, but i will buy it for sure...i love the wooden realms of mirkwood :DDD

It's definitely not. I love Lord of the Rings as well. The game follows the lore very well and has nothing to do with the movies. It's based off of the events in the books. It's ridiculously fun as well.

One of the biggest things that skirmishes added, a choice of solo or group.

WoW came out of nowhere, has no storyline and is generally crap, but LOTRO has a VERY big storyline, which allows the creation of a VERY long epic quest chain. And LOTRO also has a HUGE range of areas and regions to explore, and there are still more coming!!

The pvp in Lotro is really fun. HUGE battles, but pvp is only limited to one huge zone calles ettermors.

but the game is not so much focused on pvp. But the pvp is great, it feels like you are a part of a war:)
