If you revere the first two (-and-a-half) Carcass records. .DSDR is a bit slimier, grimier, and grindier and has wicked pitchshifted vocals, but Mondo Medicale is also awesome and quite heavy despite nicer production. .Mondo is probably the most 'accessible,' and the guitars sound so perfect. .but Impaled consistently are excellent; none of their albums are bad.

I like Impaled, I enjoy the riffs and tri-vox.

I don't think they're a carcass rip off at all. Maybe they shared a similar lyrical theme at one time or another, but the sound is unique enough to stand on its own.

amazing yes, original not really. not saying its a bad thing but bands like Impaled, Exhumed, The County Medical Examiners, Apoplexy n more have developed a sound that originates from old school Carcass, which is mainly medical type goregrind/death metal with switching off highs n low vocals n sometimes intricate riffs.

most of these bands sound like Carcass in the Necrotism era, but thats not a bad thing cuz all those bands still kick ass and that shows that Carcass is a huge influence on many
