Thanks man. I think something epic and speedy like Rhapsody was better for the action-based style of the clips, but you are right - Cannibal Corpse or Dying Fetus would be great for a montage of gore scenes or heashots.
@luscaslayer Seriously? This was more fitting for reanimated corpses tearing people to shreds? I'm all for metal of all kinds, but some of you need to actually feel the music.
@oldgentlovecraft It would have been easy and cliche to use something like Cannibal Corpse or Carcass. Since the video focuses on the motley groups of survivors fighting back against the undead, I wanted something that sounded upbeat, energetic and sort of eccentric. I still think it works. Hell, the song is ABOUT fighting an army of the undead.
@obscurityandbeyond You make a good point , but I think that everyone going straight to Cannibal Corpse for inspiration is a bit off center as well. You can use music that becomes too upbeat and turns into something more comical, like here.
Good sir, I must applaud you. This. Is. Fucking. Amazing. Awesome song, awesome content, and some evil timing skillz. This is epic incarnate; I let my smoke burn out while I stared in amazement at the screen. Congrats, and kudos - for bringing it to a whole different level.
I did a really cool one recently which matched the audio from Domine - The Aquilonia Suite (another neoclassical metal song) with the battle at the standing stones from Conan the Barbarian. It actually turned out better than this, but it was over 10 minutes long so I couldn't post it here, and Google Video took it down for copyright reasons. :(
Well Romero's original 1978 version of Dawn of the Dead is very much like a Dead Rising movie - it has zombies surrounding and breaking into a mall, survivors hiding in the maintenance passages, a helicopter on the roof, zombies getting run over by vehicles, people getting torn apart and eaten by zombies, even zombies getting hit in the face with pies!
No he didn't, Richard Rubenstein (the producer of Dawn and Day of the Dead) sued Capcom. Romero had nothing to do with it, in fact in interviews and stuff he seems to be quite flattered by all his imitators in film and video games.
gorge a romero is the god farther of these films iv always been his biggest fan ever sice i waz 7 i saw night of the living dead black and wight couse i waz so yong i pissed my self lol any way keep living my dream gorge go make more zombie films its neather the samer without u
hey man great vid, i was wondering what movie is the clip of the whole bunch of zombies passing through in the day from? Its at about 1 30- 1 40, Greatest zombie movie scene ever. so what movie is it from so i can download that precise clip. or if u can send that piece only, greatly appreciate it. again great vid.
Great video! I have to say, that scene at 0:16 when they are ripping that guy's arm apart at the fingers really turns my stomach...I love it! Thanks for posting!
slow zombies make more sense I mean rigamortis sets in they can barely move any of their joints, Zombies are ment to be funny but alittle scary, fast and strong zombies make no sense
The 2004 Dawn of The Dead sucks ass. I love those old ones, also the Land of The Dead. It's been a while when I saw those movies.. I watched em first time when I was like 10 or something :D. Awesome vid man!!
Dawn of the Dead 2004 was okay, but it far too unlike the original to be considered an actual remake. It was more like they had just made a zombie movie that ripped off some elements of the original and slapped the DotD title on it to cash in. It's not as bad if you consider it a seperate movie in the vain of 28 Weeks Later. The 1978 version has some wooden acting and creaky effects, but it is an infinitely more enjoyable and intelligent movie.
Hey man! Great stuff!!! I always love Night of the Living Dead (color) because of the farmhouse! Plus, the Romero zombies are the ones that would happen in real life, all slow and stuff!!! GREAT VIDEO!!
hi! WOW is a fantastic video i'm a fan of zombies and fan of killer they XD. can you mede a post with the titles of the movies to the video? and the music please THX THX
Thanks Pepecipote! The movies are Night of the Living Dead (1968), Dawn of the Dead (1978), Day of the Dead (1985) and Land of the Dead (2005); and the song is called "Dawn of Victory" by Rhapsody. Enjoy! :)
I love Day of the Dead too, though I think it's the most under-appreciated of the series. I'd love to know what happened to the three main characters on the island after the end of the film.
