the Mirror room is just to freak the players out. (Alessa is obviously on the other side of the mirror after your reflection changes.) HOWEVER: the door is only locked for some time. It locks you in there just to scare you, but your actually supposed to leave as soon as the blood n stuff comes into your world. so no, its not just meant to kill you... if u can figure out that the door unlocks a short bit after.
