  • Hey i like all these vids but epic fail on the last song mate ...hate to say it but keep with your original music genre ...Thanks much for the video's just the same.

  • The helicopter at 1:29 was the coolest part of the video.

  • Hugo boss black sails is a huge win, hydroptere is awsome exept falling off would hurt ps you rekon huo bosses sails are carbon or kevlar covered in black stuff

  • @Morecool66 I am not sure but I would put my money on kevlar. Carbon is to expensive and prone to damage for long offshore races. its life is very short. but all the specs on the boatare available as it is being sold!! Find the FOR SALE Notice on the IMOCA website

  • Hugo boss black sails win

  • These people buy boats and equipment worth millions, would be nice if they spent 0.1% of that on a proper video recorder so we wouldn't have to watch these low quality clips. Good job putting them together, though!

  • you should put extreme 40's and VO70 in this is sailing 5... that is extreme! (if you get the right vid's)

  • Niccccceeeeeeee!!!!! Wish it was me out there!

  • From what iv heard, when Hydroptere pitch poled, it just broke the rig, it wasnt destroyed. The team are currently building a bigger and better one and once thats finished she will be out breaking records again.

  • yeah thats right, but its still a shame. i would have to suggest that for record breaking, they should lose the heavy carbon sails and revive Cuben Fiber! then shed really fly

  • whats the boat at 1:50

  • Imoca 60

  • is an imoca 60 just an open 60 by a different name if so then what are the things off the rails

  • yes, Imoca is the company name that builds the majority of them. similar to say a Farr 40. however, although teh class is called the open 60, people generally say Imoca 60 because Orma 60 catamarans are also technically called open 60's.

  • the poles on the gunwales are 'deck spreaders' if u notice, the boats with deck spreaders, genreally dont have spreaders on teh mast. this is to reduce the weight of teh mast, the weight high up teh mast (affects righting moment and centre of gravity) and windage flow over the ails. there are a number of different mast/spreader designs currently in use. research the boats from the latest Vendee Globe as almost all teh different design concepts were represented in this years race.

  • IMOCA stands for International Monohull Open Class Association. They set the rules for the class and are similar to the ILCA for lasers. The boats aren't built by IMOCA and can be built by any manufacturer. IMOCA 60 is the proper name for this class but most people just call it the Open 60 class.
