  • fyi this is a parody of the opening scene of the 1963 movie Contempt (Le Mépris)

  • Je chercherai mon manteau.

  • i like it

  • No respectable guy would ever DARE to say "no" to such questions! It's like saying "yes dear, you do look fat in that dress", and 5 seconds later she's shoving your recently amputated toes down your throat.

  • I agree with the guys who say in a nutshell Arabella Weir is fit , hot, stunning, the business. They would have put gorgeous too but was not too sure how to spell it.

  • Arabella Weir could have me on toast anytime she suggested!!

  • I liked the callback to this sketch later on in that episode.

  • D'ya like that side boob?

  • miss weir is a 21st century fox !

  • Si vrai.

  • The sketch is a satire on an endless scene in Godard's CONTEMPT

  • Yeeeuw, french....

  • this is iin one of the books songs

  • @carlos79934 it's satirising godard's contempt, as the1962driftingaway mentions. the books did indeed sample a part of contempt (an english version) for their song of the same name. nicely spotted :D

  • Arabella Weir is a Mega Milf, would definetely have her.

  • this sketch is from the christmas special

  • Haha, Le mépris!

  • Awesome, and I thank you,

  • Jesus, i've still got a crush on Arabella Weir

  • xplein funnyt r u insane. and btw it is funny. its moki of a a mok. and who cares

  • well rent a french movie like "nathalie" or "amelie" or "ne te retourne pas" and you'll see.. :)

  • Arabella Weir is absolutely stunning.

  • Ultra milf

  • uber milf ! what a woman.....................

  • dead funny and dead sexy. . . . . i wish my face was her bike saddle !

  • @jannerman750 miss weir is mega fit and funny as well, what a woman, she`s great aint she !

  • Really shows up the Nouvelle Vague for what it really was: interminably pretentious.

  • I always found Arabella Weir to be really hot

  • agreed

  • She is.Especially here.

  • @MyMelancholyDodo Me too!

  • Reminds me of a few scenes from Jean-luc Godards une femme est une femme! Interesting

  • The dialogue is taken almost word for word from Godard's Contempt (le mepris). There are lines, which are Godard's, which get laughs! A testimony to the importance of delivery! Still a lovely sketch nonetheless.

  • one of their best clips. It's a rarity with the Fast Show when the catchphrase is entirely unexpected.

  • Hahah. Good stuff.

  • Very funny take on french cinema

  • this laughter is so useless.

  • Does anyone know how the guy says the "Anyone fancy a pint" -thing, I don't care if it's real french or not.

  • Quelqu'un prend un po avec moi? it sounds like. Which is half real - as they dont really have a word for it. 'Pinte' would refer to the measurement but they usually use different measurements, apart from maybe in irish pubs.

  • Thanks a bunch :)

  • @Mestaajaz

"Quelqu'un veut prendre un pot avec moi ?"

    that's perfectly french :)

  • its arabella weir i think

  • that lady is fiiine. how old is she now? If shes under 60.. party time!

  • Everyone knows that the bits behind the knees for which there is no name are actually called 'Knee Rolfs' just as the crook of the elbow is called 'Elbow Rolf' ..... or just Rolfs for short... it hasn't made the Oxford English yet... but given time....

  • the bit behind the knee is called the popliteal fossa

  • ...only on a Sunday and Bank Holidays....

  • Do you like the bits behind my knee fot which there is no name?

    Do you?

    DO YOU!?
