No respectable guy would ever DARE to say "no" to such questions! It's like saying "yes dear, you do look fat in that dress", and 5 seconds later she's shoving your recently amputated toes down your throat.
I agree with the guys who say in a nutshell Arabella Weir is fit , hot, stunning, the business. They would have put gorgeous too but was not too sure how to spell it.
@carlos79934 it's satirising godard's contempt, as the1962driftingaway mentions. the books did indeed sample a part of contempt (an english version) for their song of the same name. nicely spotted :D
The dialogue is taken almost word for word from Godard's Contempt (le mepris). There are lines, which are Godard's, which get laughs! A testimony to the importance of delivery! Still a lovely sketch nonetheless.
Quelqu'un prend un po avec moi? it sounds like. Which is half real - as they dont really have a word for it. 'Pinte' would refer to the measurement but they usually use different measurements, apart from maybe in irish pubs.
Everyone knows that the bits behind the knees for which there is no name are actually called 'Knee Rolfs' just as the crook of the elbow is called 'Elbow Rolf' ..... or just Rolfs for short... it hasn't made the Oxford English yet... but given time....
fyi this is a parody of the opening scene of the 1963 movie Contempt (Le Mépris)

one of their best clips. It's a rarity with the Fast Show when the catchphrase is entirely unexpected.
