  • Thanks for sharing....

  • We owe men like these a debt of gratitude.

  • i have just came back from Belgium and i was there on sunday, saw everything that is in this video :D

  • who disliked this video?

  • @1944themike terrorists

  • What a beautiful song. What choir sings that song or what is it's name?? And to anyone who dislikes this video you should be ashamed of calling your self's humans. To all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for this great country. I thank you form the bottom of my heart.

  • @petersalaz The name of the song is "PLAISIR d'AMOUR",i do not know about the choir but the name of the composer who's name stands next to this song is Michael Kamen.

  • @petersalaz its from the soundtrack of band of brothers

  • God bless this guys and RESPECT for this veterans

  • lot of ppl died

  • The western allies left us (Czech Republic) to the Soviet union and that ruined our and other our neighbours, i belive that if we were liberated by western allies it should be different.... but thanks to you all.

  • @elmatadorCZ

Wasn’t it Churchill that made that decision?

Also Allied Command were prepared to sacrifice 2 – 3x the number of men who were actually lost on D-Day. I am so glad that this did not happen…..the number which were sacrificed was more than enough (TOO MANY) for humanity to comprehend as “acceptable losses”?

  • @JoMoMoss acceptable compared to alternative, which would have been germany victory and a very frightening world to give their children.

  • @elmatadorCZ i'm sorry you guys felt abandoned....at the time we were Allies with the Soviets until pretty much the very end of ww2. The last thing Europe needed was a Soviet/Allied war though......I fear we'd still be cleaning up Europe if that had happened.

  • people think germans wear all devels i have a man lived in my street whoo was a allied

he told me that his friend was shot badly in the stomac untill a german helped the allied...(even a ennemy can be friendly by me)

  • @irakees8 The German people and even the soldiers were not bad people. It was Hitler and the SS that gave them a bad name. The Soldiers were just doing what every soldier from every country were.....pawns to the leaders

  • no i garuntee you dont wanna be in ww2...picture your best friend, now picture him being blown into the ground with you watching him, or maybe your the one who gets blown up. you hear the stories of the men who lived not the ones who died

  • with all due respect, I don't think you want to see what those men saw. I'm not questioning you're patriotism or courage, just stating that what those men saw and the actions they took stayed with them forever. I don't know if you've ever shot, stabbed or beat a man to death, but I doubt it is something you want to experience. Not to mention the constant threat of death around every corner. I can not thank those men enough.

  • o how time has changed.

watching the hit HBO series Band of Brothers makes me wonder if i wanna serve our army

but i have doubts because i kno i sound stupid but i kinda wanted to see what this war was like, to be there at the time.

  • I've got same thing. I may sound stupid too but I really wanted to be an American soldier during ww2. Especially in the paratroopers. Nowadays it's nothing like that anymore, but back then, it was different,. and I wouldve joined immediately.

  • LMFAO dude great minds think alike

its hard to explain but like i wanna just see what it was like to be at D-Day because it was the most destructive day ever i mean u dont jump outt of a plane trying to dodge AA fire everyday

, but these guys did they deserve every thanks they can get

  • i watch band of brothers at least once a week.

  • I would love to be there and hear his story. My grandpa used to tell me stories about Winter war (finland vs. russia) when i was kid. He was there fighting against red army... I have great respect for all ww2 veterans.

  • bill wingett?? who was he?

  • Bill Wingett was part of Easy up until a few days prior to jumping on D-Day. I was with bill when this video was taken. He was moved out of Easy a few days before D-Day by Sgt Evans. Bill is a great man. I miss him!

  • Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

    Thank them both today.

  • agreed...thumbs up

  • Here, here, and Iam English. I gratefully thank your nation. The Greatest Generation.

  • I believe the greatest thing that I have ever had was having the was to meet at a unit bbq men who jumped in to D-Day with the 82nd. Being in those men's presence was a truly humbling and I will never forget it.

  • My Airborne Brothers your sacrifice will never be forgot. We in England will never let your memory die, we owe our freedom to the men who died to keep us free. I am humble in your presence. God bless you.

  • such great heroes ...god bless all of them!!!...i am french, lived in the us my whole life, now back in france looking back at history with a lot of respect and thankfullness....

  • love that music, the band of brothers series was amazing! and the soldiers who fought in WW2 were incredible... i have the highest respect for them

  • HEROES!!!

  • God bless them, and keep them.

  • I was with Kevin for this tour. Kevin has close ties with Bill Wingett and it was an honor to spend time with both of them.

It was the greatest 2 weeks of my life and I would go again if I could.

    Chad

  • my great uncle fought with easy company and was a pow in bastogne gob bless easy co.

  • What was his name?

  • Great Video. I was just there, in Bastogne, as well as Holland and Normandy, and none of the citizens have forgotten us. It didn't matter the age, they were all grateful. We all, together, must never forget what was accomplished. Thank you.

  • "for those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know"

  • No one should forget. There is still a bomb crater near my home village. Its just a shallow depression now but its a reminder. Thanks to all who defended us.

  • the Belgian people have not forgotten what not only the americans but also the british , the canadiens , the soldiers from new Zee-land did for us! and all the other countries!

  • God bless our boys. Then and now.

  • true heroes we owe so much to them but they ask for nothing

  • Too many in Belgium already forgot.

  • Speak for yourself....

This will never be forgotten...those men gave so many, that they are still honored each year!!

  • The Belgium should not throw so many thrash in the Bois Jaques, it's a shame!!!

  • damn...

  • this is great
