It wasn't a real piano. It was just the wooden outside of it, they built 3 fake pianos that weren't actual instruments, they were just pretend models to blow up just for the shoots. He's not an instument vandal and killer. :) x

@MariaFraguas It wasn't real, he had 3 fake ones built, just the outside model of pianos... They looked like pianos but they weren't real insturments. :)

actually it was a combination of §D and naturalistic explosions. they didn't blow up a real piano but the key-scenes are real.

@Emotron1000 I would imagine that it wasn't a true piano, but a cheaper replica... that would have been awful expensive as well... but who knows. It would seem that any musician would have overwhelming guilt for destroying such a beautiful instrument... even if it is for a super cool video
