I guess none of you anti-militaries have never heard of the bombings in the U.S. on 9/11/01. Or the bombings of the U.S.S. Cole on 10/12/00, or the bombings of the Kenyan embassy on 8/7/98, or the bombings in London on 7/7/05. Al Qaeda, the same people responsible for terrorist acts across the globe, also backed insurgents in Iraq. Brian Stann is part of the .45% of the U.S. population that stood up and said "Here am I, send me", something that none of you keyboard warriors could ever do.
Regardless of all the conspiracy theories or realities surrounding the military , Stann Stands for something ! and is definitly someone to look up to !
Class act, that Brian Stann... In other news, does the U.S. really just use their people and throw em to the wayside? I see something terribly wrong with soldiers risking their limbs and lives and ditching families to fight wars only to come back to nothing. What part of the game is that?
@MrTwat4444 yea the signing up is the real problem... on the other hand can you take a 18 year old boys choice serious... i was a pot smoking beer drinking lunatic at that age :D
I respect the guy. It's just a pity that we have military leaders who wage war over profit and oil. Stann is more honorable than the men who lead him. THAT is the great tragedy of our fighting forces.
@MrTwat4444 Because they are supposed to be fighting for The United States Constitution. Not the elite/corporate/neocon/wall street/Bush/Obama/federal reserve greed machine!
@MrTwat4444 Veterans "complain" because when they have to leave service for whatever reason, there are limited job opportunities for them as civilians and it prob shouldn't be that way. The issue of homeless vets kinda sucks since they sacrificed so much and are receiving little support once they leave. Not everyone can stay in the military long enough to earn full pension.
@ViolentAlcoholic I don' think anyone joins thinking "I wanna make the rich, richer." If you've ever known anyone who has served, it's not about that for any of them. They're sacrificing their civilian lives, time and bodies to do whatever the government says they have to do in order to keep this country safe and to preserve the freedoms we have. Freedoms and safety for people who may not even appreciate the risk they willingly put themselves at. Thats something to respect and to be grateful for
Who the fuck wants to join the US (under slavery) military these days??? Vuck that dumb shit! When it's time to fight for our country instead of the elite, sign me up, but until then fuck the military and everything it no longer stands for.
Those that serve in the Military are the first to act, "When it's time to fight." You should be honoring all those that have volunteered their lives to help protect yours, while you cower away and let other men watch over you and your family.
@coononapfork Riiiighhhhttt becuz invading, stealing and raping countries all over the world is protecting me and making this country safe??? All it's doing is making the richer rich. BTW, my right to bare arms is what is protecting me and my family not our slaves attacking other countries. FYI, I have two brothers in the army and they agree with my views as do the majority of service men and woman they know who have joined the military for financial reasons so get off the miltarys crooked dick.
Wars will always be waged by the elite's and average men and women will go out and fight. Without a standing military our country would be highly vulnerable. Regardless of the agendas of war, those who serve help to protect their country. You should show some respect for those men who volunteered their lives, so you don't have to. SON!
@shermanr6 you join because you have a desire to FIGHT for your country. Even though I was not born here I had an amazing experience...and feel proud about that...just like my father when he was in the war between Russia and Afghanistan. You dont join military because of the money...you do it because you want to prove that you are worth something.
@MrTwat4444 signed up to fight for their country, but end up killing and dying for the military industrial complex for the politians and lobbyists to make money
The thing that i dont get about stann is he's obviously an intelligent guy, yet he was dumb enough to get those terrible looking tattoos!! LOL
I have some ink myself, nothing against tatts, its a personal choice, to each their own, that said, youd think he wouldve gotten the marines logo, or something family related, yet his has those ugly ass trendy tribal tatts. which tells me he cant be all that smart. LOL
@JG1635 he's still smarter than you! LOL what kind of trendy tatts did you get, your last name so everyone can know? or your ex girlfriend who cheated on you with your cousin? LOL
@rfc2031 uh yeah i do watch ufc, lol and since bisping lost to henderson he hasnt really beat great caliber fighters, couldnt beat Wanderlei, who lost 5 of his last 7 fights LOL, Bisping is jus a stupid idiot
most people who join the military just want to be able to kill people without going to prison.
and the minority of people who join the military because they want to fight against evil are too dumb to realize that war is a money making racket at this point involving international banks using the militaries of the governments they control as cannon fodder against nations which do not allow the international banks to infiltrate their countries
I am sick band tired of him bringing up his ,military background. It is overdone and is getting annoying. When you shove stuff down peoples throat over and over people will actually start resenting you. Veterans day is for those who died defending the country. All the recent wars were unjustified and only people that died were civilians. Nobody respects you Brian Stann
@shaybellysticksout memorial day is for those who died jackass. veterans day is for all who serve. stfu. i dont agree with the wars either , but you should get your facts right before you type stuff.
@shaybellysticksout: its getting old, or rather its gotten old. Stann is like a walking military recruiter poster-boy. Theres a lot of negative things about the military too, watch the film "The Tillman Story" or just search on youtube "iraq war veterans against the war" or "iraq war drop weapons" and you will see videos of veterans brave enough to speak out about all the war crimes & fucked up shit they did & regret. Its not all about honor, respect, integrity & ect like Stann likes to preach.
@shaybellysticksout Memorial day is to honor those who died, veterans day is to honor all servicemen/women. You probably should know what you're saying before you talk. I and many others respect and admire Brian Stann immensely for all his selflessness, integrity and courage.
Fuck the marines you prick. Alot of people would fight Sonnen but it is more like Sonnen just talks about fighting fighters who are not in his division
Karyna for the love of god dont get Brian Stann started on the military thing. Every interview he rambles about the military and how great they are and how we should all be thanking them. Ask him some non-military related questions. The man is OUT OF the marines already. He's no longer in Iraq.
@iamkobito Lol that would be funny if he actually ran. He doesn't bullshit people enough to be the president. And if he ran he could win because technically he was born in America, he was born on an Army base in Tokyo.
@subatomicparticlephy I guess Chael told Joe Rogan he voted for him in 08'. Lol, He also needs to be 35 though. If what you say is true about Brian still being born in "techinically" in america; I'd vote Stann for President.
@Alpinex105 If you had to do all the training and seen the difficulty in touring, you'd be proud to talk about it too. People who serve in the military are a different breed of human with a greater sense of duty than normal people. You may be a hardcore MMA fan but would you put your life on the line for some people who might not give a shit about your military experience? It's a selfless act and he can say something about it in every interview but it shouldn't be a problem for anyone to hear...
@gooberhead81 "he's in it for capital. He does have the right to do so. and I have the write to criticize him. You ever wonder why he keeps bringing up his military experience? Well because he has to get some sort of fan support to actually get fights in the UFC.. It's all a market ploy...on his part and UFC's.. yes I said it... his whole persona is a commodity."
@eLLriDe420 A lot of Marines in the UFC? I'm sure, but if one happens to be particularly proud and patriotic, who's to say he's wrong for doing so? I think he's earned the right to speak about something he loves. It would be like telling a martial artist to not mention their martial arts background when you ask questions about their life. It's a big part of his life so...That's why he talks about it so much.
@gooberhead81 i don't think anyone should talk shit about them unless they went and did it along with them. like you said if it was for a below average fuck like alpinex105 they wouldn't need people to sign up
@gooberhead81 if it was genuinely a selfless act then he would not be publicizing it so regularly! bragging = egotistical. worst part is he's bragging about valour, i have no respect for people like that.
@channelin Where was he bragging? and Publicizing service regularly is a problem now too? O_o Veterans day every year...Is that too much as well? He's not saying "pay me more because i'm in the Marine Corp". When people ask him about it he's just proud that he is one of the ppl who can say theyve been there n done that. I dont thnk ppl who havent sacrifice as much will ever understand it. He loves/loved serving so when people ask, he's more than happy to speak on it. That's all. Why no respect?
@gooberhead81 isn't it just so coincidental that on every video i see of him, he's talking about his marine service? and no, people are no always asking him about his marine experience, that's my problem with him.
@channelin If that's his background that got him to where he is today, then it's hard not to talk about it. GSP talks about his traditional Kyokushin Karate background and being a martial artist too but I guess people have a problem with that as well...Brian just feels that without it, he wouldn't be where he is and if that's what's driving him, it's kinda hard to tell him to find another source of motivation.
@Alpinex105 He fought for this country, he's seen friends get killed and then he comes to mma (which is pretty hard to do) and risks his body to entertain you. If he wants to talk about his military experience he has all the right to do so
@TheElfucko Risks his body to entertain me yes but he's in it for capital. He does have the right to do so. and I have the write to criticize him. You ever wonder why he keeps bringing up his military experience? Well because he has to get some sort of fan support to actually get fights in the UFC.. It's all a market ploy...on his part and UFC's.. yes I said it... his whole persona is a commodity.
when people say "chael for president", "stann for president" etc, do they REALLY mean they would vote for people like these guys?!? or is it just a rethorical thing, just a provocation, like when we say "gonna die" (vai morrer) in Brazil?!?
Added the sneaky dig that Sonnen has been doing this longer than him, blah blah. You will ALWAYS get your ass whupped by Sonnen. Amazing standup guy for an opponent like Leben, but not for Americas favourite Gangster
People saying Brian Stann for President! I study U.S politics, ok (at degree level), he simply could not be a President at his current standing, he has no economic, academic knowledge or more importantly experience. However, I believe he could get elected as Representative and with more experience Senator. He would make a good job in a Committee regarding armed services.etc But at the moment he has no chance achieving such a position!!!
@snaggypaggy The #1 reason he couldn't be president at his current standing is he's not even old enough to run yet, bro. But when he is, who knows, maybe he'll be a rep or a senator. He's young who knows what is in store for Brian Stann, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he became our president some day. He's intelligent, well spoken, a very kind person who oozes integrity, he's a born leader, and I'm sure knows more about politics than most self proclaimed youtube geniuses.
@MALIRIPPA He was born in Tokyo on an American base, when he's old enough he can run for president if he chooses. I would vote for him if he ran but I wouldn't write him in like Chael does.
@ImAidaTv Its not just about TDD it's getting back up after getting taken down, IDK he seems soo weak on the ground. The total opposite of him standing.
@Oreillyisthebest I agree man, I dunno its just every now and then you see a big growth in a Jacksons fighters skill and I really hoped it would be his wrestling but he got schooled. Gotta love Stann though, a true professional. Bisping/Miller loser for him next?
Killing the interviews lately Karyn. So smooth and affable. Use to be a huge Helwani fan now I must admit I watch your interviews before his and am more eager for them too. Keep up the great work.
I'm still amazed by how well Brian can talk. He just creates the perfect answer with perfect well put togeher sentences as if he's written it out all along, without any pauses, without any "uhhhggg" or crap like that. It's crazy.
@HypeGGbelgian Soldiers get screwed so bad in the US bud...they go put their life on the line to defend their country and get payed shit in comparison to what their risking.
no, nhl, nba, nfl etc players will not be the same, but then again they make like 100x more then those in mma... they dont need their fans. its not a 1vs1 sport either.
Months ago I've always watched Ariel interviews and thinking "Wow this guy is good.". Then lately I've noticed how he became a little arrogant with his interviews, I'm not sure if it was just me. Then one day I randomly watched a Karyn Bryant interview. Never looked back since then. I have to say that Karyn is the best right now.
I totally agree, ariel does these awkward and sometimes ignorant jokes that never stick as of late, and he totally throws off the flow of the interview. The fighters have to be nice so they don't say anything, which is bad b/c ariel never gets the constructive criticism, in that he sometimes needs to stfu.
I just recently subscribed to karyn, and loving her style and genuine laughs and 100% respect for the fighters.
@mICHAELmYERS24 I have no idea what r u talking about , ariel arrogant ? that ridiculous. You're just being 'hipsterish' here , ariel is getting too mainstream so you switch to karyn. She's good but she doesnt know that much about MMA IMO.
@mICHAELmYERS24 Why not just like them both? Why do you have to pick sides or put on down? I guess it's an attention seeking thing for you. Oh well. Another bites the dust.
@c2conditioning he clearly stated he felt ariel was getting arrogant which i agree with. Ariel clearly wants to be the dana white of reporting & he starts shit. I'm not saying he doesnt have good interviews but someone just may not like his style. i watch everbodies stuff buf if im not too interested i wont click on 5 reporters interview the same guy, id just watch one which usually is karyn's because i like her personality & interaction with the ppl she interviews
@mICHAELmYERS24: Theyre both good. They have different styles. Karyn kind of lets her personality do the interview which is great because she has such a vibrant, positive & friendly attitude, so she can get the fighters comfortable enough to lower their guard and show a more personal side to themselves, but Ariels not afraid to ask the tough questions & his questions are well thought out & precise which keeps the fighters on their toes. They should do a show together, it would be a good balance.
Chael will destroy him like he did Anderson's lucky ass.

@gooberhead81 alot of ufc fighter have served but you dont see them talking about it every post fight interveiw
eLLriDe420 3 months ago
@eLLriDe420 A lot of Marines in the UFC? I'm sure, but if one happens to be particularly proud and patriotic, who's to say he's wrong for doing so? I think he's earned the right to speak about something he loves. It would be like telling a martial artist to not mention their martial arts background when you ask questions about their life. It's a big part of his life so...That's why he talks about it so much.
gooberhead81 3 months ago
@gooberhead81 i don't think anyone should talk shit about them unless they went and did it along with them. like you said if it was for a below average fuck like alpinex105 they wouldn't need people to sign up
a1ex8o5 3 months ago
@gooberhead81 if it was genuinely a selfless act then he would not be publicizing it so regularly! bragging = egotistical. worst part is he's bragging about valour, i have no respect for people like that.
channelin 3 months ago
@channelin selflessness and altruism go hand in hand with modesty. show me the modesty here!... get real
channelin 3 months ago
@channelin Where was he bragging? and Publicizing service regularly is a problem now too? O_o Veterans day every year...Is that too much as well? He's not saying "pay me more because i'm in the Marine Corp". When people ask him about it he's just proud that he is one of the ppl who can say theyve been there n done that. I dont thnk ppl who havent sacrifice as much will ever understand it. He loves/loved serving so when people ask, he's more than happy to speak on it. That's all. Why no respect?
gooberhead81 3 months ago
@gooberhead81 isn't it just so coincidental that on every video i see of him, he's talking about his marine service? and no, people are no always asking him about his marine experience, that's my problem with him.
channelin 3 months ago
@channelin If that's his background that got him to where he is today, then it's hard not to talk about it. GSP talks about his traditional Kyokushin Karate background and being a martial artist too but I guess people have a problem with that as well...Brian just feels that without it, he wouldn't be where he is and if that's what's driving him, it's kinda hard to tell him to find another source of motivation.
gooberhead81 3 months ago
@Alpinex105 He fought for this country, he's seen friends get killed and then he comes to mma (which is pretty hard to do) and risks his body to entertain you. If he wants to talk about his military experience he has all the right to do so
TheElfucko 3 months ago
@TheElfucko Risks his body to entertain me yes but he's in it for capital. He does have the right to do so. and I have the write to criticize him. You ever wonder why he keeps bringing up his military experience? Well because he has to get some sort of fan support to actually get fights in the UFC.. It's all a market ploy...on his part and UFC's.. yes I said it... his whole persona is a commodity.
Alpinex105 3 months ago
@Alpinex105
He's a Marine and a Veteran, It's no ploy. He's proud and rightfully so.

Brian Stann is such an overrated fighter.
illducky77 3 months ago
when people say "chael for president", "stann for president" etc, do they REALLY mean they would vote for people like these guys?!? or is it just a rethorical thing, just a provocation, like when we say "gonna die" (vai morrer) in Brazil?!?

Added the sneaky dig that Sonnen has been doing this longer than him, blah blah. You will ALWAYS get your ass whupped by Sonnen. Amazing standup guy for an opponent like Leben, but not for Americas favourite Gangster
mr2nut123 3 months ago
@mr2nut123 is that really a dig or the truth?
sonnen has more experience and is a better wrestler then brian stann. Those are big advantages in mma.
thebullfrog24 3 months ago
Bush was president anybody could.
MrTHEGUY1989 3 months ago
People saying Brian Stann for President! I study U.S politics, ok (at degree level), he simply could not be a President at his current standing, he has no economic, academic knowledge or more importantly experience. However, I believe he could get elected as Representative and with more experience Senator. He would make a good job in a Committee regarding armed services.etc But at the moment he has no chance achieving such a position!!!
snaggypaggy 3 months ago

I agree. Karyn's a real pro. I -really- wonder if she can make her money with interviews?!

I'm still amazed by how well Brian can talk. He just creates the perfect answer with perfect well put togeher sentences as if he's written it out all along, without any pauses, without any "uhhhggg" or crap like that. It's crazy.

c0nfidentl0ser 3 months ago
Months ago I've always watched Ariel interviews and thinking "Wow this guy is good.". Then lately I've noticed how he became a little arrogant with his interviews, I'm not sure if it was just me. Then one day I randomly watched a Karyn Bryant interview. Never looked back since then. I have to say that Karyn is the best right now.
mICHAELmYERS24 3 months ago 34
@mICHAELmYERS24

She's good but she doesnt know that much about MMA IMO.

and the only thing i would say against ariel is that he sometimes tries hard to be funny and hes not funny at all

@mICHAELmYERS24 Why not just like them both? Why do you have to pick sides or put on down? I guess it's an attention seeking thing for you. Oh well. Another bites the dust.
c2conditioning 3 months ago
@c2conditioning he clearly stated he felt ariel was getting arrogant which i agree with. Ariel clearly wants to be the dana white of reporting & he starts shit. I'm not saying he doesnt have good interviews but someone just may not like his style. i watch everbodies stuff buf if im not too interested i wont click on 5 reporters interview the same guy, id just watch one which usually is karyn's because i like her personality & interaction with the ppl she interviews

@mICHAELmYERS24 why not just watch both? it's not about the interviewer, it's about the interviewee... they might cover different topics...
datlibra17 3 months ago
@mICHAELmYERS24
lol i had the same thing.
But I think the biggest reason is why watch this always, is because Karyn uploads her vids on youtube.
Ariel does that 2 a 3 days later...
Officialdjrs 3 months ago
@mICHAELmYERS24: Theyre both good. They have different styles. Karyn kind of lets her personality do the interview which is great because she has such a vibrant, positive & friendly attitude, so she can get the fighters comfortable enough to lower their guard and show a more personal side to themselves, but Ariels not afraid to ask the tough questions & his questions are well thought out & precise which keeps the fighters on their toes. They should do a show together, it would be a good balance.
