I consider this the original version of Toxic because Cathy Dennis is one of the main writers of this song. This is the demo version that they offered to Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears for inclusion in their albums. Too bad Kylie rejected it so it went on to become Britney's #1 single.

Notice how very similar Britney's version is to this one. Cathy provided back vocals on both versions. I'm not even sure if Britney sang the chorus part on her version because it is so similar.

@TheBoomboom120 I think I read somewhere that Cathy Dennis sang this song at one of her last concerts. Another song she sang for everyone who had come to the show was her own version of Can't Get You Out Of My Head, which she of course wrote for Kylie Minogue. I wish I could have been there!

Britney's voice is pretty and sweet, THIS VOICE IS AWFUL! O.O I mean, she does it great in the chorus, but not in the rest of the song... And yeah, they're voices are blended together in the "Too high..." part, you can perfectly hear how in this version, in that part, Britney's vocals are missing... Also in the "Aaaaaaaaaaaah" part, if u listen to this version and to the acapella of Britney's version you can notice Britney hits a slightly higher note, but their voices match perfectly!
