  • perfect diesel engine

  • I actually asked the president of Audi Canada at school why we aren't getting this in North America. He said they would have to sell the Q7 V12 in North America at about $195,000 just to make it cost effective for the relative marketplace.

These V12 diesel engines are very expensive to build, import, and regulate in accordance to American and Canadian standards :(

  • is it 4.2?

  • No, this is 6.0 V12

  • @Benji22815 its smooth, my father had a 4.2 but he had to sell it :/

  • Great car!

  • good

  • the sound xD FAKE its disel no benzin xD

  • 17 ecolo!!:))

  • I love Audi but this one is just stupid. It's not a truck, not a family saloon, not by any means off road car and it's big and heavy. SUV? Why would I want a car that is so big and so expensive when standard A6 or A8 are better to drive and use half the fuel that Q7 will.

  • @ardvark84 It's pretty pointless agreed, the only thing I would say it has going for it is space, it would be good for say something like VIP transport, it would take bullet proofing really well also. They usualy need to add heavy glass and heavy steel panels to the doors etc, which strangles a vheicle performance. What I never understand is, all the big kraut car companies make these specialist small volume vhicles like BM 8's and big mercs and Audi RS's who buys them and do they make any money

  • @yakacm Oh you should stop right there! Audi RS's are great cars as old Quattro was. I'm talking about stupid SUV's with big engines like this or Range Rover Sport, BMW X series or pointless Cayenne which is ugly as winter in Russia...

  • HN ♥ :D

    Heilbronnn

  • the 2005-present Audi Q7 is assembled in

    Bratislava, Slovakia

    Changchun, China

    Jakarta, Indonesia

  • Put this engine in the A6/A7/A8 and it would be genius

  • I want that engine in a R8. I want that engine in a R8 really badly.

  • @D0ntTreadOnMe021 Old R8 V8 = RS4's 4.2 V8 420bhp, new R8 V8 = RS5's 4.2 V8 = 450bhp, R8 V10 = Gallardo's 5.2 V10 = 525bhp

  • too bad the 011 is only 280 horse lolx fucking save the planet emos i swear

  • The american car companies should keep their dirty little hands off Audi's Q7s! Never mind learning how to make their cars as good as Audi.. they better keep their cars shitty and cheap with V4's and V6's and Audi will keep V12's just for us so called "rich bastards"!! :)

  • @xXEricandAlexisXx Let them have their outdated V8s on their 40 year old mothballs. German engineering > any muscle car

  • is this from apple?

  • i prefer q7 rather than a M5 , because it's more powerful and there's no big difference at speed and engine power between them

  • So its priced between the R8 and R8 V10...wow...

  • V12 turbo diesel. Godddd damn

  • They could've strapped 2 of the 3.0 tdi engines together...or 3, Tri-Turbo would be innovative....

  • BMW X5 very safe

  • 439hp and electronical limited 1000Nm torque :)

  • Sexiest thing I have ever seen, and practical too, great for moving... You can take the whole house with you, and if you like your neighbors, you can take their house too.. Or tear it down...... I want one, I don't like my neighbors.

  • with 1000nm of torque, its great for towing aircraft carriers or demolishing buildings

  • 0:01

  • i want one

  • Put that engine in a R8 already!

  • vw do own audi if they dont how come the mk4 golf and audi a3 share the same floor pan? allong with other moddels from audi and vw

  • @dredgeyno1 my point exactly, but just remember there are people in this world who think they know it all and are never wrong. oh well at least someone else understands where Im coming from.

  • @dredgeyno1 i own VW TDI all parts have VW and AUDI markings. VW owns AUDI,Bugatti,Lamborghini,+ more yup its true.

  • I wouldn't see it coming, it such a sleeper. Only if these came to NA....

  • 'power' and 'bonnet' should not be used in the same sentence...

  • That's a bad motherfucker.

  • fack you english mutherfucker

  • I drove One today... Amazing how its driving, when you think on its weight of two tons... Bit actually, the Engine is very quiet, Even @ Full throttle. But its got a very good Bang&Olufsen Soundsystem!!!

  • super torque!

  • СУПЕР МАШИНА

  • I hate SUV's with a passion. They are BIG and pointless.

But this....... if you gave me £96,000 i'd be straight to audi dealership.

  • @vladster7272 We have a hell of a lot of snow where I live, and I cope just fine in my Subaru. People even get by with 2WD cars, if they have good tires and don't drive like morons.

Also, SUVs are worthless for delivering things. For that task, you're much better off with a van. This SUV in particular is pretty dumb, but then again, so are it's competetors (Cayenne Turbo, Cherokee SRT-8, Range Rover Sport, X5 and etc)

  • @wharghoul My parents have vans and suvs for work. Van is great for bigger stuff and thats all suvs are nicer for delivering smaller things, plus they are way more comfortable, many of these vans are just over sized and aren't used on an everyday bases. I know you got the hondas, fords, the soccer mom cars thats fine, but alot of people who drive suvs like the fact that its got the room of a van and its more higher up were you can see better, plus you can take them off roading vans you can't.

  • @vladster7272 One question do you also have those guys who have big jacked up trucks ? then come winter they think the snow is nothing to them, only to see them a few miles down the road in a ditch ?

  • @vladster7272 Most vans are built on truck chassis, and are almost identical to SUVs except for the body. Truck based vans do fine offroad, I would know, being as I do a lot of light offroading for my job.

As far as comfort is concerned, well, our vans need a hard suspension to do the work they're designed to do. Manufacturers know that SUVs aren't used for work anymore, so they fit them with softer suspensions so mommy doesn't spill her latte.

  • @wharghoul Depending on what suv you get, lot of the newer high end ones you can change the suspension, plus vans look fucking ugly. At least with some suvs they have a good nice look to them. And lets face it if you wanna go for a drive theres no fun in vans. My folks have a few vans for work i never take them its my car (sedan) or the suv.

And if i don't spill my coffee or whatever cause of a pot hole then i'm happy hell thats what i want out of any car.

  • Presenter is excellent, very good.

  • Beautiful car. I love German cars! I think the best cars are made from German companies. Second come Japanese!

  • spacious interior, better than uncomfortable BMW

  • this idiot should stop talking... I wanna listen the motor!!!!

  • lol the germans should teach american car companies how to make a diesel with a motor like this

  • @thehenster99 The new Ford V8 diesel produces 400hp and 800 ft lbs of torque. We've learned.

  • @gdeevis yea learned that is

  • @thehenster99

    ever hear of CUMMINS

  • @thehenster99 why? petrol is cheap as water in the U.S.

  • for some rich people?? lmao like if there are many left that could afford a 90 grand car! at least not here in the u.s.

  • So damn big...and a V12...god damn

  • EXCELENT; AM GONNA GO FOR IT.

  • It sounds Like my power stroke but the gear change cut it off to early lol mine keeps roaring. And that 2011 duramax is some cool shit!

  • A nice family car, i would buy this to my family when we should on holiday :)

  • i like it the cars,,

    forza Q7

  • @ppbbs88 i didnt know it xd

  • Unbelievably hideous, ridiculous engine, overpriced.....yet for some reason I want one

  • BOW TO MEEEEEEEEE

  • Kennzeichen HN :D Heilbronn

  • @SuperKEMii jeep ^^

  • @timur121997 - except for the gas mileage

  • thats why he said descended you tit.

  • I like Audi!!! Its stylish and eye catchy, but not good to drive in the winter coz of its rear wheel drive..

  • @Teaser7 um..... audi = quattro, possibly the best all wheel drive system in the world. standard on all models except the TT and A3 which still have it as an option.

  • @Teaser7 buy an quattro....... audi's famous 4 wheel drive. really good for rain, snow and ice......

  • @Teaser7 Absolute rubbish! LOL

Do you know what you're talking about? Why on hell would you "open" your mouth when you don't have a clue Audi's history! Geez...

  • Such a horrible, ugly car, with a wonderful engine. Put an aluminium or magnesium version in an Audi-badged Murcielago and I'd have one in my lottery-win garage...

  • ugly bumper ! ugly, ugly, ugly,da old Q7 looks better with clean smooth bumper

  • He is saying it's powerful , what do you expect from V12 engine , I don't understand ,

  • HOT!

  • pcar00 you're wrong, audi is an diferite car than vw ...it's true they use the same engiene but not the same work line

  • Monster

  • the best car in world

  • @788043933 fuck diesel engine. Are total piece's of shit.

  • @MattH12491 your dumb, volkswagen MAKES AUDI

  • nooo uh actually i beg to differ im not dumb at all. and im quite aware they make volkswagen. they also make lamborghini and they own bugatti. an r8 is basically a gallardo which shows the resemblence. which brings about the question of why volkswagens are such complete pieces of shit. any thoughts?

  • @MattH12491 how is there a quality difference when the car line up is using the exact same part off the assembly line to vw and Audi. Audi A4 exact same as vw Passat, everything is interchangable, engine trans, suspension, electronics. Yes, Audi make higher end cars like the A8, just like Lexus is to toyota Audi is to VW. I just don't understand how you say one is crap and not the other, personally, i hate both and would rather drive a BMW

  • as i said that s a very good question pcar, audis seem to run and last quite nicely while volkswagens do not. just type in vw sucks on this site and see for yourself. 1000s of comsumer reports pop up stating how they hate the vw they bought (because of constant motor and electronical issues) and will never buy another. do the same for audi on any site and you dont get much if anything. and yes i like bmw as well. nice cars

  • lol...audi is just a doughter association from vw on the paper, but they actually have their own designer and own engineering but of course vw and audi uses in certain things the same parts..for example the 1,9l diesel with 136/140 hp..it the same. but audi owned lamborghini, and vw owned bughatti

  • @pcar00 Audi is made by Audi, and Volkswagen owns the majority of the stock in Audi.

  • @deoed99 - Then why do all of my VW parts and all of my Audi parts have both logos on them? lol.. psst they're the same company, just like Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC

  • @hoosiercub You can "lol" all you whant.

Audi makes their own cars and they do it, top of the line.

Audi share their innovations with Vw and vice versa.

  • @deoed99 - Yes Audi GmbH builds cars in their factories and facilities.. Audi has their design teams for just Audi.. but at the end of the day.. They're still a VW, because VW owns Audi, thus the VW bloodline running through almost all of Audi. I mean look at the R8.. where did the 5.2L V10 drivetrain come from? Lamborghini, who owns Lamborghini? Volkswagen.. stop fooling yourself. It is what it is and there is NOTHING wrong with it.

  • @hoosiercub I dont now what you think is wrong with my comments. I believe we are on the same page here ;)

  • @pcar00 em actually Porsche makes Audi and Volkswagen

  • @pcar00 you are wrong. VW owns part of Audi. Audi makes Audi.

  • @Hunne0815

Yes. Audi makes Audi, but VW owns more than 99% of the shares. So practically VW owns Audi completely.

  • @pcar00 loolz

  • @pcar00 No dumb ass Audi makes their own productions.

  • @TheMegaCONARTIST yea, whatever you think buddy, thats why audi parts all have the VW logo on them, HELLO??? MCFLY???

  • @pcar00 What, what ever i think what an idiot you are, it is what it is, dumb dumb. Learn about car productions before you comment ever again, Audi creates their own parts/productions inside and out, i drive 3 of them A3 A4 A6 all new models and no VW signs in it what is so ever, for your info Audi existed 37 years before VW, fact is that Audi makes the best cars world wide and is owned subsidiary of Volkswagen and 100% privately owned, if you dont know meaning get dictionary, looser.

  • @TheMegaCONARTIST And yewt Audi is owned by VW, tested by VW, and all of Audi gets its money from VW. You cant fight me on this b/c I work for VW, I know these things, we drive all of VW's companies, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Seat, and Skoda. So stop your bitching and learn a few things from those of us in the know.

  • @adamslurch71 You obviously have no clue than, Audi is a pure private company that is producing its own cars design engineering technology invention and or innovation. Audi is an entity that is controlled by a separate higher entity which is VW but not owned as it is private and owned since its existence and way before VW was even there. If VW was a sole owner of Audi, Audi would not be able to purchase, produce or share its technologies with any one such is Bugatti Bentley Porsche Seat etc.

  • @TheMegaCONARTIST Who said anything about working as a salesmen? I test driving the up and coming models 4-6 years before the general public even knows about it. Stop attempting to read between the lines and tell me what I do and don't know, I work directly with the VW engineers and take trip to Germany on a yearly basis to test new vehicles on their proving grounds. And so you know for a fact VW owns Audi out right, they bought them to stop them going bankrupt. Learn then speak asshole.

  • @adamslurch71 Ahahahahahah you little fag boy, come back to reality, you are fading away too fast hahaha. What you just said is the biggest bull crap ever made, because those explanations i have provided for your uneducated ass are figures directly from the company of VW and Audi. Learn the wordings in dictionary before you have clear understanding the difference between meaning of words used in terms of their terminology you dumb little kid, hahaha how funny you are sad boy.

  • @TheMegaCONARTIST Your a tool, end of conversation. I know the truth here and your delusions. but I guess I should say that I know nothing and your right that way you will finally stop your BS rants and others can finally stop hearing your shit, who cares what your family has been into since the 80's and who cares what you believe is true b/c you talked to salesmen and you looked up info online. I work directly with VW and know for a fact what I say is true, it is you who doesn't know shit.

  • @adamslurch71 Hahaha hahahah another shit loads coming from your poor ass American fag boy mouth, get over it kid you cant even afford to drive Toyota yet alone anything else. hahahahah funny kid you are.

  • @adamslurch71 further more the production line, which has its own press shop, the Ingolstadt plant includes a body shop, a paint shop and an assembly line of all its cars. AUDI AG’s Technical Development at Ingolstadt include the development of engines (power units and transmissions) and design work, but also development of vehicle concepts, electrical/electronic systems, bodies and chassis, all the way to the development of the total vehicle.

  • @adamslurch71 let me tell you something dumb boy, i dont know who accepted you into sales department that is only tiny knowledge of cars because i worked for Mercedes, family is into Audi since 1980 and i own 3 Audi today, and know more about Audi than most of sales department that put on suits thinking they know anything if they tell how many BHP 0-100 package of interior and exterior, rubbish.

  • @adamslurch71 Kid never underestimate buyer because they are the ones with most knowledge of their ownership, it called passion with money, where you only work there for a tiny wage, and yes you just got OWNED.

  • @pcar00 You're dumb, Volkswagen OWNS AUDI, they don't make them.

  • @lionelmtb88 actually, PORSCHE now holds 50.74% of VW stock (starting Dec 2009) so that means that PORSCHE OWNS AUDI because PORSCHE OWNS AUDI parent company VW. (OWNS because they hold more than 50% of its stock shares) ok, vw don't make audi? but they just assemble audi with vw parts. i mean the front grill on my audi has a VW logo stamped on the back side, dumbshits

  • What have they "failed at horribly"? There isn't a bad car they make.

  • @MattH12491 = fail

  • i fail? at least i can spell useful hahaha

  • @iknownothinusefull = fail bitch

  • german car ;)

  • yeah, they don't play at work....audi, bmw and mercedes prove that.

  • On Audi's uk website the starting price for this is nearly £98,000. For that kind of money i'd rather buy a fully loaded Range Rover, and with the change you would still be able to buy a VW Golf GTI(if you wanted to). What a waste of money !

  • Range Rover is junk compared to Audi and that's a fact. as they say u get what u pay for. its not a coicidence that it costs that much.

  • I hate audi's but even I admit... 1000NM of torque and 5.3 seconds to 60mph in a car that weights over 2 tonnes is just unbelievable.

To think they were going to put this engine in the R8....omg

  • Kind of sounds like an r32

  • @VDubGLI You mean like a r32 x2

  • It's all about the insane torque :)

  • @Stroinikas

Insane is the word. Just read that the new Chevy Silverado Diesel Pickups have close to 1040 Nm of torque.

  • diesel develops more orque, and lower down. And more "fuel effecient".

  • you know im down with doing your mom

  • i respect this engineering ..!!!

  • traktor )

  • beautiful

  • Agree!

  • look who's talking douche

  • k1ngjulius, i need this car...

    its cool....

  • wooow, the flappy gear change looks crap :D more than a second before the computer shifted . maybe when in full auto it does better. love this diesel though.

  • Yet even if any truck can pull 700 lbftq they're not equiped wit all the technology you found in this SUV

  • Nobody needs this car!

  • This is the only SUV I like, but the v12 is $96,000? I wonder how many units they'll move.

  • £96,000=$150,000. Although they wouldn't sell them in America because of the whole dirty diesel thing.

  • He said 96,000 dollars, not pounds.

Auto makers do sell diesels in The US

  • No, he said 96,000 ...and it is in pounds..which is an insane amount for a Q7, Audi only sells the V6 TDI in the Q7 in the North American market

  • Which one is better, Audi Q7 or Honda Civic for highway driving?

  • youll probably have to be a audi head, but this looks considerably better than other q7 models.

  • this engine has NOTHING in common with the Le mans race engine (different displacement, V angle, size, weight...) . Journalists, pleas, stop spreading this bullshit !

  • It shares the fuel... kindof. lol

  • Engine design goes a lot further than just the physical size of the engine. They made it bigger displacement wise, which makes it bigger physically. And I'm to believe that the R10 uses a 60 degree angle just like any V12 should. And because it's bigger, and because they make it from cast iron, of course it weighs more.

I don't deny they would've changed the design a bit, but at the same time, I'd say they haven't a heap.

What's bullshit is everyone saying the R8 V10 is a Gallardo engine.

  • The Q7 V12 TDI has not one common part with the R10.

The Gallardo LP 560 engine IS the R8 V10 engine. The only difference is design things like the color of the intake manifold (Lambo black, R8 silver) and the color of the ignition coils (Lambo black, Audi red / black). They are both designed and built by Audi (Audi Hungary, where I work) on the same line. The HP difference (R8 525, Lambo 560) is due to different ECUs in the car. Above a certain RPM, the butterflies close a bit on the R8 engine.

  • I never said it uses the same parts, just that the designs *could* be similar. I really don't know, but I'm willing to bet there's some of the R10 ingenuity in there.

Sorry, I got my wires crossed before. Yes, they are rather the same engine. It's just that some people say that the V10s Audi use now are derived from the old Gallardo engine, which is untrue.

  • @Banderius79 of course it`s different displacement size weight.. thats a race car.. and never says that both have the same engine

    STUPID.

  • @Banderius79 look at dat ugly bumper ! its fuckin ugly !

  • @Banderius79 you are the one who is bull shitting lol. know what you are talking about.

  • @Banderius79 the engine is based on the Audi R10 TDI.

"The engine was based on the diesel technology from Audi R10 TDI race car, but with larger displacement." (from Wikipedia)

  • @MegaZsolti

Sharing technology with a Le Mans engine is one thing, being based on that engine is another. It is a completely different engine. If an engine has a different V-angle then it is not just a stroked version of another engine.

It's like Ferrari's road-car V8s and its F1 V8s - they may share technology but the engines are fundamentally different.

  • @Banderius79 To bad its so damm ugly

  • @Cypern just like you mum.lol

  • love it!

  • noooo its beaten the jeeps 0-60 in 0.1 sec less!!!

  • and i have an audi r8

  • you realize that this goes faster than your r8 the biggest engine in any r8 is a v10

  • wtf are you talking about? the q7 v12 is e-limited to 155 while the r8 v10 does 196. r8 v10 0-60 is 3.8 vs the q7 v12 at 4.9 Just because it has two more cylinders in the engine does not mean it is faster. You have to take in all of the factors of the car. Weight, power, aerodynamics, etc.

  • We have this Audi and it is very good we went 275km/h... :)
