Hmmm...only vertical bars on that cage=BAD.

Notice the paint worn off on the bars where he has been biting them. That is a sign of a neurotic bird, probably

left alone for too long. Thats sad.

What is more sad is that people make assumptions with absolutely no evidence. Neurotic bird? Left alone too long? Did you pull those conclusions out of your backside or what? ONLY vertical bars = bad? Really now? Did you actually look at the video where the horizontal bars are clearly seen? Where he has been biting them? Wrong again, the paint came off from thorough cleaning.

Before you go off on the way people take care of their beloved pets, why not get your facts straight.

How long did it take for you to teach your bird to sing that?

Surprisingly short time. She liked the song so she started singing it back immediately.  I would say it took maybe 2 months.

Any tips for teaching a parrot how to sing?

Get a loop cassette tape from radio shack. Record what you want the bird to learn. Let it play. Be patient.

What about playing a song over and over so they can learn it from a cassette like you buy with different song on them?
