Just as in any other part of the world those with power and influence will do what they need to do to keep their position. Problem is, people with nothing have nothing to lose. They need a large middle class like we have in the U.S. to lull the masses to sleep so they are easier to manipulate. I hope the poor in Thailand gain some opportunity and respect through this struggle.
My wife is from Issan and I hope this will be resolved for the sake of her family before it turns into another Bruma or Cambodia. What you have is the huge class of poor people in red angry at the power and influence of the wealthy in yellow.
