yay! AT&T has the highest fee's, consistently scores the lowest marks for customer service, their 4g is basically a joke, they are notorious for their dropped calls, and they already have a history of buying out competition and subsequently offering watered-down service to both their own customers and those of the bought-out company. Super-carrier indeed!
AT&T listen up: Instead of BUYING T-Mobile, use your $39 Billion (whoa!) to improve your celluar spectrum and network. Don't go the easy way. T-Mobile is known for low prices. Don'y mix us with your crappy service and OUTRAGEOUS prices ($70/month for unlimited calling).
It's going to be one big nasty monopoly. At&T is already taking advantage of their monopoly status by reminding gsm phone users that they will have no where to run when the deal comes thru.AT&T is alrready going after people that tether their phones to their computers and threatening to place them on a $45 limited data tethering plan if they don't stop. Sprint-Nextel is the way to go,this was told to to me by a AT&T operator, where you get unlimited everything for one low price.
big bad ideal its still IF it goes threw which is not looking good at all to much power and it looks like AT&T has to buy a company in order to be on the top sounds really dumb. T mobile offers the cheapest plans and t mobile has 4G that works and Verizon dosnt have 4G in some places. T mobile is a good company but over all really is a bad idea and i doubt it will go threw
"Super-Carrier"? Have you seen what happened about 3 decades ago with AT&T? Do you really think this is a good idea?
Obviously, someone hasn't been doing their history. at&t is about as bad as you can get with absorbing competition. They got busted apart back in 1984, but this time they got smart and changed a ton of laws for 2 decades.. Now they can do the same thing without penalty.
I can see our current technology not getting updated. We'll be stuck with 3/4G for (probably) over a decade.
With the merger between T Mobile and AT&T, Verizon owners can finally not complain about AT&T's network! AT&T can finally say "We have a Map for that" lmfao. AT&T was always the better carrier, enough said!
i have a at&t iphone, i have t-mobile though, so i use a t-mobile lg touch. i hope that i can get this iphone workin. i been tryin to unlock it.. but i might not have to know. yea ! lolss
@MysterTechnology The deal is said to take at least 12 months to get through. So If you want An AT&T phone you'll have to wait post merger.
I'm sure that AT&T will happily upgrade you assuming you don't mind their terms. Other wise if you still want a Tmo phone, then I suggest a Samsung Vibrant or an LG G2x since they operate on AT&T's 850/1900 Mhz spectrum.
i know google piss off att got restrictions on there app store google got to step up and consumers got to do that too and say this what WE want hey i pay for the phone i should control what i WANT ON MY PHONE.
I wouldn't mind if Verizon bought out T mobile but not AT&T they are the worst in customer service and famous for dropped calls and I like Android over Apple so don't really care about the iPhone.
@SteveGultz Eventually yes. In 12-18 months the merger will most like go through.
After 2-3 Years, you'll have to switch to AT&T, because the tower's supporting the AWS 1700 band which most likely your phone relies on solely will be re-used as a 4G rather than 3G band, leaving you stuck on EDGE forever.
@Zomb131 Thanks :) This is my channel and I can give my opinion. Being an AT&T customer, the acquisition of T-Mobile is beneficial. I understand it's not great for T-Mobile, but for my circumstance and the circumstances of AT&T customers, better coverage and network reliability is a good thing. So if liking that makes me a tool, then yes I am very much a tool.
@mobitureblog lol, do you think that prices will go up, i mean there will be less competition, so prices might go up and plans might become not as low price wise. What do you think?
@mobitureblog i agree that joined coverage will be better .but i really dont give a shit about the iphone . over rated pos . even att is aready drawing away from the iphone thats wy they have been adding a greater and better variety of android phones like the atrix , inspire , and the new ,samsung infuse so will see how the merger turns out im with tmobile and had them for about 8 years and were i live in california i get great service with 4g download speeds that average between 8.5 9.5 mbps
l left att because of there poor service and there ridiculous high price service which was dropping calls left and right and i was on the phone with att about 3hours just to get that fix. i left att because of this att customers happy because now they have more coverage. more customers. more phones and oh T-Mobile you will get the iPhone dont worry about that you get and there pricey services when my contract with T-Mobile ends am out
guys I know that we all are on edge about this merger but this has not given gone though yet. The thing that I wondering about is why is Tmobile not getting the iphone. I have HTC HD2 but I originally wanted the iphone but my HTC locked up on and I had to a hard reset on my phone and it locks up when I tried to make to a call. I like Tmobile prices my portion of my bill is 55 a month for unlimited data and text but I am also on a family plan. GET THE IPHONE TMOBILE
I think this merger is not a good idea. Like you said "1 GSM carrier" thus, taking away from competition. Tmobile is a more innovative company. I just left at&t after 7 years. AT&T's plans are over-priced and the data cap (2Gigs...really?) is absurd! I hope the FTCC & DOJ will focus on these points and see that this aquisition is not at all in the best interest of current T-mobile USA subscribers.

@SonicProwler15 They aren't eliminating the 1700 band at all..it will be used to help expand LTE service when it is launch. I would choose 4G over 3G any day.
@SonicProwler15 LTE does not have a speed of 12 Mbps, that is the stated average speed they are are announced but most people are getting download speeds about 32 Mbps. T-Mobile's 42 Mbps towers are only available in a few locations. Recently PC World conducted a test and LTE out-performed all other networks with the USB modem, though T-Mobile slightly beat out Verizon during a smartphone test. Honestly it will all come down to the area and the amount of people connecting at a given time.
@mobitureblog This was referenced to the smartphone in which case I was correct. T mobile is the fastest. We were on the subject of phones and carriers, not modems.
If AT&T was smart they'd copy the rest of the world. Keep LTE for Urban areas, given the need for smaller frequency bands, and Use HSPA+ and it's larger bands for the rural areas.
A world standard should not be monopolized by any company. LTE uses sim cards Either way so I'm not losing anything by leaving the merged company.
@SonicProwler15 Well I was just referring to networks in general, not smartphones. I'm a current AT&T customer and the acquisition is beneficial to me if network reliability and coverage does improve as promised.
@mobitureblog I'm a current T mobile Customer and I haven't seen a benefit to this at all, save for more voice coverage which I could easily get from by switching to Tracfone.
I like my phones, open and customizable. AT&T has no Idea what those 2 terms mean, which is sad considering they're a GSM carrier..
But the sentiment I show you is echoed through the internet in the form of petitions, T mobile USA's facebook pages(having been riddled with threats to cancel, and actual cancellations), tech sites, and economists. It could improve but as of now I doubt it.
Ryan from mobiture... You are a retard first off it is not a merger. This is an acquisition. You all will not be able to keep your tmobile plans. Ryan you are a typical AT&T/iphone/apple using dipshit that listens to everything that comes out of these liars nouths. Its not cool because everyone else is. Have fun getting raped for all of your hard earned money by apple and AT&T. Sounds like double penetration. You better get your self some lube.
@evanw1079 Haha okay man, well thanks for watching my video. It sounds like you are upset because you might be losing your job, which is understandable considering your immaturity on the Internet. For one you do not know me and I am not some "dipshit". I used to work for cell phone companies and I know how acquisitions work. Current T-Mobile customers WILL be able to keep their plans until they decide to upgrade to a new device AFTER the acquisition is complete. Again thanks for watching :)
HAha no you wont! I work for tmo... What makes you think that you guys are going to be able to keep your plans? AT&T has never carried over plans from any other aquisition what makes this one special? You all better complain to the FCC about this.
Yo some one, Please make a before and after coverage map of AT&T and T-Mobile before and after the merger to actually see the benefits, including voice, data, 3G,4G hspa+ LTE. that would be amazing thanks get back at me.
@sulav196 They were referring to now, once the deal has been finalized and they become AT&T the iPhone will be available. It may take up to 12 months for the deal to be finalized.
Go as far to say we have the best phones now it would be grat if we kept all that but sad part is I know we won't now as long as our plans are grandfarered and we don't have to switch to AT&T plans I'm good
I'm really confused with this deal because as a 6 yr tmobile customer it's like out of all ge other companies we have the best prices and tge best customer service I would
I always knew staying loyal to AT&T would pay off. I want to take this moment in time to say FUCK YOU Verizon and i am glad i never subscribed to your service. My already super fast Samsung Captivate will be even faster and my tethering experience will be phenomenal, not that it isnt already. Just admit it Verizon customers, AT&T is your Daddy now!!! Muahahahahhaha!!!!
Dont change your current plan..upgrade now because when AT&T takes over their plans will be used which areexpensive and if you upgrade once they merge you will be forced to take the "new" plan. The plan you have will just be grandfatherd. I work for Tmobile and quit AT&T to come to T-Mobile..im very pissed because AT&T from an employee and consumer standpoint suck..I thought I was safe : (
I've been with T-Mo for almost 10 years. Competitively priced plans, better customer service and honestly, I'm a Blackberry guy so I couldn't care less about the IPhone. From what I hear from friends AT&T is as unreliable as they come when it comes to dropped calls and their pricing stinks. My contract is up this year and I'm not likely to stick around. I've seen a few videos where people call this an exciting move, but honestly if you're a satisfied T-Mo customer you're probably pissed.
No one gives a fuck about iPhone. If you think having that old piece of shit phone that been outdated long before it even came out then you will get exactly what you deserve from this merge a clear assfucking from DeathStar(AT&T).
Now I am TMo user and I know first hand what AT&T is all about and what can happen with service. First we lost BellSouth and service went to shit price went up and not TMo is going. Last thing we need is TMo network being bugged down by iPanzy user watching gay porn.
AT&T Suck company Verizon have faster internet in USA for mobile T-Mobile has sold for profit in order to pay its other bills T-mobile earns more money than AT&T T-Mobile is all over the world, Deutsche Telekom company that has a large cell of T-mobile In March 2011, Deutsche Telekom announced plans to sell T-Mobile's U.S. operations to AT&T, pending regulatory approvals. The proposed deal will have no effect on the ownership of T-Mobile operations in Europe.
I hope they actually look out for the consumer for once & dont allow this monopoly. But we all know how Corps run everything. Also just a minor correction to one thing you said. Sprint for once actually did not lose customers on there last reporting. I hope Verizon does not buy Sprint & I dont think that would be allowed. And Verizon is the biggest rip of them all why anyone would willingly waste money on them is beyond me..
fuck at&t dads iphone was losted , he called at&t they told him he was eligible for a new one for $200. when he got to the store they told him no he would have to buy it for $400 and sign a 2 year contract ext , smh he went right across the street to verizon wireless got him a galaxy phone walked back over to aT&t which was packed with people and shouted hey everyone verizon has a sweet ass deal, this galaxy is the shit, they even offered me another phone for free. employees was like wtf to do?
No!!!! at&t sucks! their coverage in my area is horrible and it's extremely expensive for little morsels of data and minutes and text :( t-mobile is amazing and it's cheap, at&t just sucks money out of you
@lifevidazoi the point of the merger is to get more coverage! AT&T isn't just in it for the subscribers, it's also in it for the spectrum. The two networks will me MERGED together. you will still experience the same, if not better, coverage and quality. Also, the reason why T-Mobile is so cheap for minutes is because it has fewer subscribers. AT&T offers free mobile-to-mobile, so 80% of your calls will probably not take anything off your minutes.
@MovieMakinDude03 T-Mobile's service is better in metropolitan areas. Not so much outside of them. AT&T's service chugs in metropolitan areas (when it works at all), and varies outside of them. Some more rural areas have great AT&T Service. Others have barely any.
Go to Philly, Atlanta, San Fran, NYC, LA... AT&T blows chunks there, while T-Mobile works fine.
You just happen to be in one of the few areas AT&T actually has good service. Believe me, that's rare.
People are so selfish. All the news is about the iphone...im a t-mo employee and thousands of us will be loosing our jobs over this. None of us are thrilled.
besides way better plans, T-Mobile doesn't charge for tethering, which is awesome since I don't want to pay for 3g for my ipad... I just tether from my Samsung. with At&t, you get less minutes, limited data, limited text, charged out the A-hole for anything and everything for no logical reason. Who cares about the Iphone, I don't freaking need/want the iphone.
Well what is going to happen with the Iphone 4 users who are waiting for the unlock for the baseband 02.10.04 should we still unlock the Iphone 4 or upgrade to the new IOS firmware???
you're so naive... a lot of T-Mobile customers moved to T-Mobile to escape AT&T. This is not good news, we have great plans, unlimited flat rate plans on average for 30-40 dollars less than comparable (though inferior) at&t plans. as one who was bullied out of my cingular plan when at&t took over, I know this is nothing but bad news.
@bankousa This isn't the AT&T of old, you know. Cingular bought out AT&T Wireless (which wasn't very good to begin with) and kept the AT&T name for recognition. Cingular's network also wasn't very good. So, they merged two bad networks into one bad network. The result? Overall a worse network.
AT&T Wireless has been split off from the old Ma Bell AT&T for years.
hopefully this will get rid of most of those att tmo dead zones i like this move on atnts part this might give Verizon a scare now even though their lte is fast
almost every single comment over here talks crap about ATT
my personal experience: I was with ATT when the first gen iphone came up.. service and pricing was great. My contract ended so I decided to give Tmobile a try, all I can say is "hello" and I'd get drop calls on a 1:3 rate.. I got 'fed up with last month when I was trying to make an emergency call and my calls dropped 10 times... TEN fucking times -_-' next day I went to get my iphone back with ATT and all I can say is WOW
@luigiboy85 Ive been with T-mobile for 14 years back when they were Aerial and Voicestream. I had about 2 dropped calls in 14 years. My advice and guess you had a defective phone, just replace it.lol
Better call coverage and quality? You do realize this is AT&T you are talking about, right? Their coverage in major metropolitan areas is garbage, and their coverage outside of them isn't much better.
Plus, for Android phone users on T-Mobile, used to what they get, this is a disaster. AT&T neuters their Android phones to the point where they can barely be called Android phones. T-Mobile was the only place you could more often get pure Android phones as well as unlimited data plans.
Hmm, I wonder how this will effect me as a WIND mobile user. WIll AT&T-Mobile stop using the 1700/2100 frequency, which means no more new phones for me?
How is this great news... You go to T-Mobile for a reason, great customer service. People unlock iPhones just to use it on TM for a low bill and better service. TM is not going to get the iPhone from this stupid deal. Most of the people went to AT&T because of the iPhone, not because of AT&T.
@mobitureblog I know that. I have never had a dropped call with TM. On the other hand my friends have AT&T and they hate it. What I am hoping for, is that if the deal does go though, you can keep the same monthly bill you have for the same price. If i lose unlimited data then I am gone. They already explained what happens when you're contract is up kinda, but a lot of TM's coustomers are on the Even More Plus plan.
also looking at the cost of the plans, in order to get anything close to what our family is on, is about $50-80 more then what plan we are on t-mobile now... I understand we will more then likely be grandfathered in, but as the merger with Verizon and Alltell went they basically forced everyone to get a Verizon plan if they wanted a new phone. Not a fan of this merger as of now but we will see what At&t / T-mobile does to combat At&t insanely expensive plans.
Official statement from T-Mobile. They will still be T-mobile nothing is changing except the ownership everything is staying the same T-mobile is not going bye bye so we can all calm down no we are not getting the iphone and no we are not merging with AT&T so T-mobile phones are not gonna be available for you. OFFICIAL T-MOBILE STATEMENT DIRECTLY FROM THE T-MOBILE FORUMS FROM THE COMPANY
@oopovertyoo T-Mobile isn't really "4G" it's HSPA+ which AT&T already has. Verizon and Sprint are the only carriers with true 4G. AT&T will start launching their 4G LTE service like Verizon has sometime next year.
@mobitureblog Yup I understand the not 4g deal yet but the coverage on the "4G" / HSPA+ on T-mobile is a lot larger coverage and more consistent then At&t's counter part. I'm sure most people on At&t are very excited about the merger and majority on t-mobile are disappointed. Due to the inevitable price jump that At&t will cause on T-mobiles plans
im just hoping the costs dont go up because im an tmobile user and i like my service and wasnt an fan of at&t when i had it...and i dont care for iphones very much
@DATDUDEJONES Yeah that is one downside, because T-Mobile really does have great pricing and I love that they don't have overage charges on their data plans. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.
@mobitureblog i just think AT&T has always been the superior network. yes it might be expensive in it ways, but your paying for something you know will be there when you need it. disregarding the data and solely talking about voice calls. i mena you wont die if you cant download a song right? but yeah i have had att since they where cingular.
@sal271 When I had AT&T I couldn't count on it to work when I needed it. And his was before the iPhone and all the problems that people started noticing after that.
You know, I could be in my house, right next to a window, there's a cell tower not more than 600 yards from my house. And I could not make or receive calls. I always had to step outside. With my T-Mobile phone? I could be anywhere in my house and make/receive calls.
god this isnt very good for me i really do enjoy t-mobile because of their great customer service, something that everyone with AT&T bitches about, but on the flipside i guess im eligible for an iphone? idk im not a fan of the move been with t mobile for 11 years and never had too much of a problem with them hopefully this works out for both sides
Well, I'm a Simple Mobile customer, which is a virtual network backed up by T-Mobile, they are super cheap and offer 4G and everything, I just love them. What does this acquisition mean to us T-Mobile/Simple Mobile customers? Are they going to disappear like Cingular and Alltel did back in the day?
As Driso9 said I think that tmo sucks is not the worst but I think it still sucks I'm also planning to change to AT&T my contract ends in october 14th but hve to wait for my dad in November
I called tmobile and said that yea it will all happen in the next 12 months also no iPhone in the mean time but anyway I'll be gettin me iPhone 5 in november hopefully apple will announce it I June
I have t-mobile and i am happy about this, cause the signal for t-mobile sucks, my contract is up in october, i was going to switch to at&t then, so now i dont have to.
@driso9 Yeah I think this will be a good thing. Just keep in mind that the buyout might not be complete for another 12 months, so if you are unhappy with T-Mobile you still might consider the switch to AT&T.
@elmerjal They should let you keep it, but most likely if you upgrade your device after the buyout is complete they will make you change to one od their plans. We will just have to wait and see.
ATT is not buying them the government will not allow att to buy them, it will make att to big

If I wanted an Iphone..I would have bought one.
and Evan is right. Given time after the merger AT&T is eliminating Tmobile's 1700 Band to force us to upgrade our phones.
We'll be paying 3G prices for EDGE everywhere. Not interested.
SonicProwler15 11 months ago
@SonicProwler15 They aren't eliminating the 1700 band at all..it will be used to help expand LTE service when it is launch. I would choose 4G over 3G any day.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog LTE doesn't play nice with the 3G phone I paid for.
It won't play nice with anyone who is stuck with a 3G phone(save for a few phones like the vibrant).
Nobody has "4G". I'm surprised who truly ignorant people are of that fact.
SonicProwler15 11 months ago
@SonicProwler15 Yeah I know no one "technically" has 4G, but LTE is the fastest out there. T-Mobile and AT&T's "4G" networks are only HSPA+.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog Incorrect.
T-mobile prior to this acquisition had the fastest network. LTE is at mere theoretical speed of 12 Mbps at the moment.
T mobile's HSPA+ network had recently received an update OTA for it's towers allowing 42 Mbps.
Google it.
SonicProwler15 11 months ago
@SonicProwler15 LTE does not have a speed of 12 Mbps, that is the stated average speed they are are announced but most people are getting download speeds about 32 Mbps. T-Mobile's 42 Mbps towers are only available in a few locations. Recently PC World conducted a test and LTE out-performed all other networks with the USB modem, though T-Mobile slightly beat out Verizon during a smartphone test. Honestly it will all come down to the area and the amount of people connecting at a given time.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog This was referenced to the smartphone in which case I was correct. T mobile is the fastest. We were on the subject of phones and carriers, not modems.
If AT&T was smart they'd copy the rest of the world. Keep LTE for Urban areas, given the need for smaller frequency bands, and Use HSPA+ and it's larger bands for the rural areas.
A world standard should not be monopolized by any company. LTE uses sim cards Either way so I'm not losing anything by leaving the merged company.
SonicProwler15 11 months ago
@SonicProwler15 Well I was just referring to networks in general, not smartphones. I'm a current AT&T customer and the acquisition is beneficial to me if network reliability and coverage does improve as promised.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog I'm a current T mobile Customer and I haven't seen a benefit to this at all, save for more voice coverage which I could easily get from by switching to Tracfone.
I like my phones, open and customizable. AT&T has no Idea what those 2 terms mean, which is sad considering they're a GSM carrier..
Say welcome back to Ma bell from the 90's.
SonicProwler15 11 months ago
@SonicProwler15 Yeah I can see how T-Mobile customers would be upset...more expensive plans, data caps, closed Android handsets, etc.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog Like I said..this is me personally.

You better get your self some lube.
evanw1079 11 months ago
@evanw1079 Haha okay man, well thanks for watching my video. It sounds like you are upset because you might be losing your job, which is understandable considering your immaturity on the Internet. For one you do not know me and I am not some "dipshit". I used to work for cell phone companies and I know how acquisitions work. Current T-Mobile customers WILL be able to keep their plans until they decide to upgrade to a new device AFTER the acquisition is complete. Again thanks for watching :)
mobitureblog 11 months ago
HAha no you wont! I work for tmo... What makes you think that you guys are going to be able to keep your plans? AT&T has never carried over plans from any other aquisition what makes this one special? You all better complain to the FCC about this.

ATLShawty99 11 months ago
@ATLShawty99 i agree bro..t mobile has been on point price and customer service wise..love them, my contract end in a year..dont know what i will do

305whipz 11 months ago
No!!!! at&t sucks! their coverage in my area is horrible and it's extremely expensive for little morsels of data and minutes and text :( t-mobile is amazing and it's cheap, at&t just sucks money out of you
lifevidazoi 11 months ago
@lifevidazoi the point of the merger is to get more coverage! AT&T isn't just in it for the subscribers, it's also in it for the spectrum. The two networks will me MERGED together. you will still experience the same, if not better, coverage and quality. Also, the reason why T-Mobile is so cheap for minutes is because it has fewer subscribers. AT&T offers free mobile-to-mobile, so 80% of your calls will probably not take anything off your minutes.
ninja5624 11 months ago
im so excited. i have t-mobile and i never have service ever!! but my friends who have at&t always do. this means ill finally have service.
MovieMakinDude03 11 months ago
@MovieMakinDude03 T-Mobile's service is better in metropolitan areas. Not so much outside of them. AT&T's service chugs in metropolitan areas (when it works at all), and varies outside of them. Some more rural areas have great AT&T Service. Others have barely any.
Go to Philly, Atlanta, San Fran, NYC, LA... AT&T blows chunks there, while T-Mobile works fine.
You just happen to be in one of the few areas AT&T actually has good service. Believe me, that's rare.

MariRoc86 11 months ago
besides way better plans, T-Mobile doesn't charge for tethering, which is awesome since I don't want to pay for 3g for my ipad... I just tether from my Samsung. with At&t, you get less minutes, limited data, limited text, charged out the A-hole for anything and everything for no logical reason. Who cares about the Iphone, I don't freaking need/want the iphone.

you're so naive... a lot of T-Mobile customers moved to T-Mobile to escape AT&T. bankousa 11 months ago
AT&T Wireless has been split off from the old Ma Bell AT&T for years.

almost every single comment over here talks crap about ATT
my personal experience: I was with ATT when the first gen iphone came up.. service and pricing was great. My contract ended so I decided to give Tmobile a try, all I can say is "hello" and I'd get drop calls on a 1:3 rate.. I got 'fed up with last month when I was trying to make an emergency call and my calls dropped 10 times... TEN fucking times -_-' next day I went to get my iphone back with ATT and all I can say is WOW
luigiboy85 11 months ago
@luigiboy85 Ive been with T-mobile for 14 years back when they were Aerial and Voicestream. I had about 2 dropped calls in 14 years. My advice and guess you had a defective phone, just replace it.lol
straightcleaner 11 months ago
Better call coverage and quality? You do realize this is AT&T you are talking about, right? Their coverage in major metropolitan areas is garbage, and their coverage outside of them isn't much better.
Plus, for Android phone users on T-Mobile, used to what they get, this is a disaster. AT&T neuters their Android phones to the point where they can barely be called Android phones. T-Mobile was the only place you could more often get pure Android phones as well as unlimited data plans.
unclethursday 11 months ago
Hmm, I wonder how this will effect me as a WIND mobile user. WIll AT&T-Mobile stop using the 1700/2100 frequency, which means no more new phones for me?
FerociousKitteh 11 months ago
@FerociousKitteh No the frequencies that T-Mobile supports will belong to AT&T after the deal is complete.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
How is this great news... You go to T-Mobile for a reason, great customer service. People unlock iPhones just to use it on TM for a low bill and better service. TM is not going to get the iPhone from this stupid deal. Most of the people went to AT&T because of the iPhone, not because of AT&T.
da3coons 11 months ago
@da3coons Well it has positives and negatives.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog I know that. I have never had a dropped call with TM. On the other hand my friends have AT&T and they hate it. What I am hoping for, is that if the deal does go though, you can keep the same monthly bill you have for the same price. If i lose unlimited data then I am gone. They already explained what happens when you're contract is up kinda, but a lot of TM's coustomers are on the Even More Plus plan.
da3coons 11 months ago
also looking at the cost of the plans, in order to get anything close to what our family is on, is about $50-80 more then what plan we are on t-mobile now... I understand we will more then likely be grandfathered in, but as the merger with Verizon and Alltell went they basically forced everyone to get a Verizon plan if they wanted a new phone. Not a fan of this merger as of now but we will see what At&t / T-mobile does to combat At&t insanely expensive plans.
oopovertyoo 11 months ago
Official statement from T-Mobile. They will still be T-mobile nothing is changing except the ownership everything is staying the same T-mobile is not going bye bye so we can all calm down no we are not getting the iphone and no we are not merging with AT&T so T-mobile phones are not gonna be available for you. so t-mobile gains the I-phone and At&t gets all the 4g towers and better coverage... T-mobile got ripped off
oopovertyoo 11 months ago
@oopovertyoo T-Mobile isn't really "4G" it's HSPA+ which AT&T already has. Verizon and Sprint are the only carriers with true 4G. AT&T will start launching their 4G LTE service like Verizon has sometime next year.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog Yup I understand the not 4g deal yet but the coverage on the "4G" / HSPA+ on T-mobile is a lot larger coverage and more consistent then At&t's counter part. I'm sure most people on At&t are very excited about the merger and majority on t-mobile are disappointed. Due to the inevitable price jump that At&t will cause on T-mobiles plans

@sal271 Haha yeah I used to work for Verizon and I had an AT&T iPhone the whole time. Both networks are good in their own ways.
mobitureblog 11 months ago
@mobitureblog i just think AT&T has always been the superior network. yes it might be expensive in it ways, but your paying for something you know will be there when you need it. disregarding the data and solely talking about voice calls. i mena you wont die if you cant download a song right? but yeah i have had att since they where cingular.
sal271 11 months ago
@sal271 When I had AT&T I couldn't count on it to work when I needed it. And his was before the iPhone and all the problems that people started noticing after that.
You know, I could be in my house, right next to a window, there's a cell tower not more than 600 yards from my house. And I could not make or receive calls. I always had to step outside. With my T-Mobile phone? I could be anywhere in my house and make/receive calls.
AT&T is garbage around me (Philly area).
