  • like a DREAM

  • That's only a normal guitar, but from lowest to highest his tones are Bb - Gb - Db - Gb - Ab - Db. Maybe he uses electric components, I don't know ; but it doesn't affect his tones :)

(Sorry if i made English mistakes)

  • This man plays with feeling which today s performers lack.

  • Of course the player has alot to do with the tone :)

  • What kinda guitar is that (brand)? The tone is amazing.

  • Very beautiful and relaxing music. Great picking too.

  • Marvelous...

  • I feel he is communication with God via guitar

  • Is that a Baritone Guitar? Or is it a regular Acoustic Electric? O_o

  • @JcWongAndCompany i was thinking the same thing, i think its a baritone guitar, cuz the ways its sounded and tuned, all the bass strings sounds low tuned as well. and if i am not wrong the scale length also seems to be longer as compared to standard guitar.

  • @JcWongAndCompany yeah probably baritone..but also with electronic components since he has a sunrise pickup on his sound hole

  • 無駄なものが一切ない、洗練された旋律に感動です・・・

  • He is Masaaki kishibe,s sensei.

  • Yes, this is music.

  • loln at these comments

  • Definitely one of the most beautiful and touching acoustic songs I've heard. I really dig this guitarist. He plays with a special soul. He's really original.

  • Нектар...

  • WOWWWWWWWW...Excellent!

  • wow, now that's music.

  • amazingly beautiful

  • so much emotions are put into this song...its beautiful

  • すごいww美しいwww

  • In case anyones wondering.. the song is said to be tuned (on all the tabs i've come across) to BGDGAD.. however on the videos of Isato playing it here on youtube he plays it one half step lower.. so A#F#C#F#G#C#

  • isato is a amazing guitarist, and a good teacher

he must be pround of his two students

    kotaro oshio and masaaki keshibe

  • いい音出すなぁこのギター

  • 上手ですね

    演奏もさることながら、顔といい背の丸い感じといい本物にそっくりです!

  • @rupinthesaru

    え、本物ですよw

  • wonder if the guy sings...

  • @blah3189 yes he does sort of, search zerisy/1972

  • Very moving song..Makes me feel sad, happy, and relaxed all at once!! All the tell tales of masterpiece!

  • Acoustic quality superb. Almost sounds like a baas guitat when hits his bass notes

  • My opinion is that this is incredible !!! to make a superb song in this slow tempo!!

    Music ,friends not noise!!!

  • his song is repetetive......

but most of his songs are soulful enough that you want it to repeat.. .so i guess it balances...

  • @XxMurasamexX That's funny, it doesn't at all feel reptitive (even though it may be) as is the same with some other fingerstyle songs.

  • does anyone know, what guitar he use ??

  • Why haven't I come across him earlier? With only this song he rightfully belongs in the list of my favorite guitarists. I truly love this song.

  • THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • supersong!

  • A master in his craft. A beautiful song

  • Thank you ,,I love it ....xx

  • 十年了 曲子不變.整個演奏畫面卻變了....從這畫面 好像 人老了節奏也會變慢了..有種說不出的愁悵感...彷彿訴說者我的歲月和回憶..輕輕又慢慢的被他撥起來了

  • Pure emotion and sensitivity.

    Thanks for posting.

  • great song wow. gotta learn that gee

  • Wonderful music. Thanks for sharing

  • i never even heard of this dude until i read Andy Mckee's bio on wiki where they mention Jacques Stotzem, Isato Nakagawa, and Masaaki Kishibe then went back to youtube and found them.. great playing

  • same here!

  • Wow, the thing he does at the end! I mean, after harmonics he pushes strings before the nut, or something like that. Never seen that before.

  • @RomerNakata Check out Jim Campilongo, he does it a lot!

  • @RomerNakata @RomerNakata hehe, watch "Doyle Dykes Wabash Cannonball"

  • @RomerNakata look up Doyle Dykes, he does it. I'd love to able to do it though

  • i was just listening to electro, bouncing in the library and all of a sudden im xen. :)

  • oh my god...great....

  • is this a baritone ?

  • sure is

  • No, it is not a baritone. The tuning for thins song is: B-G-D-G-A-D. Very deep for the E-String, of course.

  • Once in a while you stumble on someone who is channeling the muse and inspiration, beauty, love and soul emanate from whatever they are speaking from. This time it's from a wooden box with strings.

  • @zenphony Incredibly well said...

  • this piece of music reminds me of my relatives in the village. i mean the way they sing modern and christian songs in the church. slow, beautiful and peaceful. and also it relaxes me.

  • I like Isato Nakagawa vrey much :)

  • prettyyyy. really like that melody

  • Wonderful!!

  • wonderful piece........

    very nice 5 stars

  • That is so beautiful.

I never heard of Mr. Nakagawa before this.

I am so pleased to hear all these musicians come out of the woodwork.

There are so many talented musicians.

IMHO, they all need to be encouraged.

    Thank you for sharing this.

  • thanks for sharing this with me. I've never heard of him either and I can't believe I haven't. This is really great. I could listen to this anytime, anywhere.

  • We need more Isato jsprivate!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cant belive hes not super famous, his music must be universally accepted as sounding fantastic, strang world when you have idiots topping the charts with disposable music.

  • In this world good musicians are merely inspirations, like trees... they give us life and we kill them, ike that, bad music is killing the good ones, just like that these good musicians exist to give us life, and get nothing in return from us what do people mostly listen to "classical" or "technical brutal death metal"? But there is one thing true good musicians get, they may not be famous or rich, but only they feel the true love and passion that good music has to offer.

  • actually Isato is considered a legendary guitarist in japan. :)

  • @Redraw4444

    verrry strange

  • @Redraw4444 This is due most of the masses being the suckers of mass media. Those days people decided for themselves whether a song was good or bad. Now it the so called music channels (Mtv, Much music) that decides which is the no 1 song what is your favorite top 10 and other shit. How humanities taste in arts have depreciated we have descended to a level below that of monkeys.

  • @kaputasri I disagree. their is more opportunity now then ever before in the history of the world to discover different types of music and listen to what you like. There is also a higher percentage of people in the world making music than ever before. It is a wonderful time for these reasons, truly a golden time for sharing and enjoying music! Yes there is mainstream rubbish, but there always was! Nobody is forcing it down your throat. Just enjoy what you love and find interesting! Peace.

  • @aydansavaskan(1) Quantity doesn't matter quality is what matters. It's useless if you have 10 million hopeless wannabe musicians, i'd rather prefer a world with 5 good musicians instead. Yes those days there were mainstream rubbish as well but it was very insignificant. I know ppl aren't forced to listen to crappy pop and hip hop songs out there, but they are coaxed in a subtle way by record labels, how do they do it? It's through music charts. These big record labels bribe the rating agency ..

  • @aydansavaskan (2).. so that they can get there latest artists latest song into the top 10. What do ppl think then? they think oh yeah the best songs are the ones in the the top 10. What do they do? They go and start downloading those on i tunes, they buy the cd s from stores. Who profits? The big record companies.

You don't have to be rocket scientist to understand this. If you want to check this, check the top 10 in the 80's and now , and see for yourself. Those were songs. This is the truth.

  • @aydansavaskan (3)Finally, i've got no grudge against new artists. If there is new guy making good music like this i'm a fan of his, no problem. But i'm saddened how ppls taste in music has depreciated. I don't listen to auto tune garbage, i enjoy quality music such as this. However as human being i have a right to express my opinion which is what i did. I gave my opinion on what i see. Lol a long reply. But this matter deserved a long reply. Enjoy good music mate. Peace.

  • @kaputasri I still disagree. The more people making music the better - whether it is of a high standard or not. Of course it might not all be, and many people's tastes might not be as refined as yours, but they are enjoying making music and that is wonderful. Even better is that with so many people making music some of it, as above artist will be of a fantastic standard.

  • @kaputasri ultimately there is more good music being made now than ever, that is surely unquestionable. For every crappy genre there are ten interesting genres which are not mainstream and are being made for the right reasons. its out there and you don't even have to look very far for it. Personally I hardly know whats in the charts apart from the obvious gaga and bieber. frankly i don't know many people who follow the charts -

  • @kaputasri its easier than ever to ignore them. with the internet and so many radio stations we can listen to whatever we want. if you cant be bothered to find some of the great things out there, then you deserve the rubbish!

  • @aydansavaskan I enjoyed this little debate. It was fun. All the best for the future take care.

  • @kaputasri try reading those comments backwards ;)

  • His tone is Into my soul.

  • Very nice !!!!!!!!

  • 素晴しいでした。もっと作ってくださいー

  • so cool, i love listening to this it just makes me feel good

  • beautiful

  • You don't have to play fast and your songs don't have to be hard to play to be a good guitar player. It's all about the feeling, just like in this song.

  • indeed. some of the most beautiful music i've heard was slow, and fairly simple. playing technically requires skill, creating something with feeling takes talent

  • @Rigoo13

And a Lot of Echo :)

  • wow.

  • Wow.... Only checked this guy out after hearing "Nakagawa-san" by Andy Mckee.... best thing I did this year. 0_o Is this guy still alive?

  • Yeah he's only in his late 60's looks to be in good health so I wouldn't worry too much!

  • Well, thank god for that XD

  • Can't find the words to match this beauty.. Really wonderful. Guitar sounds great.

  • words can only do so much to describe the dao. There will be no words that is capable of grasping the beauty that is closest to our heart.

  • Simplemente maravilloso, Celestial,un milagro para los sentidos

  • 6th string is bass guitar string??

  • nop it's just tuned really low. I think B

  • Thanks Isato

    Wonderful interpretation!!!

    Thanks for postar.

  • magic sound...5*****

  • really great guitar. baritone? what guitar is that?

  • I though immediately that the sign on the headstock looked like the 'R' of Kevin Ryan. Resolution ist too bad to really see, though. But on the website of Kevin Rayan Guitars Isato Nakagawa appears at least under 'Other Artists', so I assume I was right and this is a Ryan.

  • I think you are right its all blurry but it does have the general shape of a stretched out R

  • nice i like it

  • Beautiful piece. Really good sound here too! What kind of guitar is Isato Nakagawa playing here? Looks like a cedar top. Thanks for the video! -Derek

  • wow nice calm song :) i like it
