Ikeya Shifter in Celica ST 205

Cool, but how do you go in reverse?

he pushes forward to go down the gears, then you see it 'locks' so wont go past 1st, however you then see him lift up part of the gearstick to get past the reverse gate and put the car into reverse

Is this shifter is adapted to the regular E154F gearbox or is that a completely different box?
