I don’t know what it is about UTG, but if you guys love it, get it, but don’t forget to also research our fine US Manufacturers who may have something you like. how durable is this vest? if i was to get this it would be just for a SHTF scenario. Would it fit 20 round ak mags in the mag pouches? if the mags were full, how durable would the vest be in holding everything up and some weight? would it start to tear apart or anything? is the material strong and thick?

1st off thank you for doing this vid, i hv been going back n forth on getn a set lk this or just getn a plain vest and starting frm scratch, but after readin some reviews, talking to some ppl i no in law inforcement,, and watching this im 98% certain i want the utg. 2) i just got my m&p 2 mo ago and it rocks harder than ninjas w guitars! I put a NcStar Red dot and a GPS Bipod on there and it shoots like a dream. Only Q i got for you is have you had any issues with ur mags not fitn the pouches???

@bsg53md Yes the mags fit a lil snug in this one. Also, the mags are polymer instead of metal so they dont slide in and out as easy.  The pouches are made for AR style mags and do fit these however. I have changed to a MCR1 Condor vest though and built it up from scratch

@pnoyrock76 I'm sure it would. If I had to relate it to something it would be like a medium shirt. Even with it it tied down its still a little baggy on me. I like a vest to be fit and tight to reduce it rubbing on me too much. So if you wear Medium to I would say X-Large this should fit great.

NIce Rig! UTG is a fairly good prduct. FYI, bring your holster for your sidearm higher toward your waist. It will make life easier so that you dont have to over extend you arm when transitioning.

No need to explain why you have it. Rather have that shit and not need it then need it and not have it. They work well as bug-out items if you need to get everything together and get out in a hurry. Ive got the cross-draw UTG and recently went with a TAC-FORCE and the UTG certainly holds its own in terns of quality and value.

Cool rig, I just got the same vest and belt, in OD, I was pleasantly suprised by the quality, I could not justify spending hundreds on Blackhawk or something, thanx for your video.

can you put plates on the inside? i know some vests have a large zipper on the inside on both sides so you can put some paintball armor (or cardboard)

@TURKIYE5150 It isn't a true plate carrier vest. Being a center zip up there is nothing for a chest plate. However, it does have two full mesh pouches at the lower left and right side as well as the full back. The pouches are large enough to place soft armor in although. As for paintball or airsoft I think it would be effective.

@MrBigmilk2003 Overall the vest is decent for the price. The molle webbing seems to be on every square inch so you can really pack it down with gear. The shoulders are a little bulky and uncomfortable and the vest is very loud. Its loaded down with velcro and loose plastic buckles. Most of it comes from the drop leg pouch so I usually dont keep it on. Besides all that I really enjoy the vest
