Bonjour, sans tomber dans la polémique, je ne vois pas d'où cet instrument serait "le résultat de 25 ans d'expérience et de recherche acoustique" . C'est une tôle d'acier avec des zones déformées bien définies qui résonnent lorsqu'on tape dessus. C'est donc un instrument copié du steel drum inventé il y a plusieurs décénies dans les iles tobago et trinité. La forme est différente pour rendre l'instrument portable mais le principe de génération du son est exactement le même.

@richardblabla Yes. A Hang is not a drum set. If you play it in the way a drum is played, you will destroy it. To play the Hang you have to touch it like a harp or like a good frame drummer touch his instrument. You need a light touch. The problem of the player in the video is, that he is a busker. He wants to be heard in a noisy street. You can forget almost all Hang videos showing buskers if you want to listen to the real sound character of the Hang in its appropriate dynamic range.

You cannot buy a Hang from afroton !!! Afroton sells the Caisa, a quite different instrument. But if you want to play as hard as lotus3232 you should better buy a Caisa because a Hang is not built for such a handling.
