Mickey Rourke never lost a pro boxing match. His final record was 6 wins - 0 losses - 2 draws - 4 KO's. He fought from 1991 to 1994. He didn't fight anyone good, but had a couple of hard fights due to his limited skills and conditioning.

Its funny tho how this programme uses the term "knocks out" Chris Jericho when refering to Rourke. Had it been a wrestler who punched Jericho & knocked him down, it be fake.
Besides, boxing aint so different to pro wrestling cos Khan was spoon fed opponents early in his career, who they'd know he could beat cos if not, they couldn't promote him as the leading guy making his way up the ranks. And then when he's won a few fights & wins a title, he boxes maybe twice a year. Its all controlled.

To those who dislike pro wrestling cos its acting/fake/rehearsed, whatever word you use. What if boxers boxed 2 or 3 times a week every week all year round. Could they do it?
Of course not cos these boxers go out to hurt their opponent & win/lose or draw, the 2 boxers pick up their pay cheque having boxed between 3 & a potential 36 mins & go home for months. If a wrestler is injured & it does happen, they either gotta recuperate asap or lose their spot. A boxer cannot do what a wrestler does.

Its obvious you never boxed before. In the Amateur's we had some tournaments like silver/golden gloves a boxer has to be prepared to fight through a bracket all weekend and into tuesday. (championships) Your watching way to much HBO bra...

Oh yeah the amatures have to be prepared to box alot, but thats amature, not professional but even amatures controlled with their face protectors on, but reguardless, I was talking professional.
Any UFC fighter would murder any professional boxer cos they're better athletes & way tougher.
If you wanna talk comparison, mention those 2. As it is with Jericho & Rourke, those 2 worked together & made a $1million each.

I may have been rude and I apologize for that but you hit a button and I responded. yeah, just last week that latin kid beat shamrock jr cause of his boxing skills. he had no large bodybuilder look but he had fighter's arms. as far as boxers vs ufc guys, it's apples and oranges man. if they were in our world they would get stopped in the first round and of course they would put one of us in a choke or armbar and have our boxing aces tap out. end of discussion.

of course boxers could....it's been done back in the 1900's when boxers fought over 20 rounds bare fisted. A professional boxer who's fought x number of years and over 500 rounds fought under his belt..his face gets numb and used to getting hit . You don't build up your chin by dry humping on the ground, you know.

I'm aware of all that...the reality is that those guys are gone AND boxing has evolved, especially training. Trainers can take a guy with talent and teach him to hit harder than anyone can even imagine...so unless you are talking about a total powder puffer, NOBODY is gonna take 15 rounds of punching to the face with UFC gloves.

lol I dont see how boxing evolved when back in the day world champions fought 15 rounds nonstop with 6 ounce gloves or smaller. The champions then would retire with huge records like 120-168 fights under their belts because they fought like 6 times a year. Today's boxers can barely make 12 rounds barely able to lift their arms anymore...clinching the life out of their opponents and so forth fighting only 2-3 times a year if youre lucky. Money and greed is the only thing that evolved in boxing

Besides, when i mentioned that ufc fighters not having the lungs for 10 or 12 rounds..it's a fact. All boxers have to work their way up from amateur 3 round bouts to 6-8 semi-pro rounds to 10 rounds which is pro and 12 round title or championship rounds.

You missed the point. Boxers want to hurt their opponent. They mean to do harm to their opponent. But the Wrestlers who really dont mean to hurt anyone, even hurt themselves. Imagine a boxer punching his own nose in. These are 2 completely different in ring sports. In a boxing ring, its about "me looking better than you" in a wrestling ring, its about "Us (me & you) making the match look good"

Yeah true, but a really good wrestler (and I'm talking about professional combat like the olympics, not professional acting like WWF) can take out a boxer pretty quickly once they get a punch thrown at them. Real wrestling is all about gripping the body of your opponent to hold them immobile, and once a strong wrestler gets a hold of your outstretched arm, you're toast, no matter how hard you swung the punch.

Its more difficult to protect your opponent aswell as yourself whilst making it look as real as possible.
I find it amusing when ppl say that wrestlers aint tough in real life. Take away the glamour & the wrestling & these guys are still 6 foot odd guys who weigh between 200LBs & 300LBs plus of muscle.
I bet Arnold Scwarezenigger & Jean Claude Vandamme could hold their own in a real fight too.
