No, but their sizes are about the same...which is why these engines have more of a lower tone and grumble to them. But if you have ever noticed the similarities between Toyota/Lexus/Scion and Subaru, it is because Toyota owns 16.5% of Fuji Heavy Ind. which is the parent company of Subaru.

Normally they will get raspy, but that's why you can put a resonator in it. Since I have the alphawerks header I just left the axle back part of the exhaust on my car until I get a resonator put in it

for the tc..we call it a s-back...cause it goes from the down pipe out to the muffler..cause the sec cat is welded into the midpipe..drift spec has and angle to it bascially go for all the car...there not a normal catback depends on the car itself

well... Its suppose to be for a straighter exit, so the exhaust piping doesn't have to bend for the muffler to be straight. Less bends = more airflow. But rodman is right. People just do it for looks now =(

I know what you mean everyone I talked to that has headers says that changing the headers on the tc make it sound shitty like really raspy. But yes they do improve the overall performance of the car.

its because they're so low compression...as are 240sx's. thats what gives it the deep throaty tone as opposed to honda's high compression engines with a high pitched tone...

Yes Dont think Exhausts need to be carb exempted or atleast where im From. But i got a quick question to BYAU and hope you help me out by sending a message or something. I have a TC also and ive been looking for exhausts but all i find are Axlebacks. Are you sure this is a Cat-back? Becuase having an axle back isnt much on performance wise since you still even have the premuffler. Maybe i can get the site where you bought it from? thanks bro

Yes, it's a true catback. It actually deletes the secondary cat. The stock midpipe has a secondary cat and small resonator while the megan midpipe comes in two pieces and only has the resonator. This catback goes from the spipe back.

yeah the front axle...it actually deletes the secondary cat. it starts right after the s pipe which is after the headers which contains the primary cat. I've installed it.

Yup, installed myself, had to do a little adjusting to make it fit the way I wanted it to. It wasn't sitting right when I first installed it and it was sitting too close to the bumper.

Basically yes, I have an Injen CAI on there but it doesn't do much for sound. This catback by itself is fairly loud.
