That wouldn't be perjury. Innocent people who plead guilty usually can't prove their innocence. Not that I think this scumbag is innocent, but he never took the stand and swore to a statement. He just plead guilty and took a reduced sentence that was bargained between the lawyers. He can say whatever he wants now but he will always have a felony on his record for pleading guilty.

After I saw their home movie on NBC this morning, I would say it is not a hoax at all, mainly from the expression on the wife's face and the husband's trying to throw a chair and his fast action to turn around to call for help. All this is telling me they are not telling a lie. Although this guy may not be popular and perhaps there was a moment that he thought he hit a jackpot, I still believe they are innocent. After I listen to their 911 call, I guess what happened was in the middle of the call they found out their son was not in the balloon. Up to that point I truly believe they were innocent. But then it seems to me the guy tried to make a few bucks by not telling the authority that he had found his boy. And that's wrong. His son, Falcon, was confused by all the media attraction. But his Dad tried to coach him and so he said that they did it for the show. I believe hiding was his son's own idea.
