@Athomield Okay show me what low poly is. My M16 polycount is approx same as crysis 1 or killzone 2 guns in-game. So yeah i'm agree with you, it's not enough low poly for PSX / N64 game.
As you replied before you can move the pivot point using the Ins key, but how can I rotate it around so if I were to use the move tool it'd move up/down at a certain angle.
@CalvinBGood yeah its possible, when you push the inser key you have a blue icon below the pivot point, click on it and now you can rotate the move pivot point, push again inser key when you have done.
Go to tool settings to choose the differents axis, when you customized your pivot point on rotation maya set as custom axis orientation, you can also write a specific angle on XYZ.
i hope you understand, not easy to explain clearly.
@CalvinBGood i grouped some parts then i edited my pivot point with the button "inser" on keyboard. You can constraint your edit pivot point with the snap by grid, point, curve,... v+middle mouse button to snap by point.
@32Skott argh sorry not because i don't want, but too much time for me to make 10 videos of 15min with all annotations (2-3hours to edit all annotations with youtube on each tutorials) so i'm sorry again and hope you understand.
Outstanding model. I hope to someday get to this skill level, as right now my model abilities are rather weak compared to this. Inspirational video!

How did you get it so when you rotated certain parts they'd rotate around a certain point and not in the middle of the object?

CalvinBGood 7 months ago
How do you get normal shading on your model? Instead of soft or hard shader.
CalvinBGood 7 months ago
@CalvinBGood you can adjust the normal in the normal menu then "set normal angle". I usually use a range 32 to 37
AKU6 7 months ago
@AKU6 Cool thanks. :)
CalvinBGood 7 months ago
@CalvinBGood Default normal angle is 30.

Oh and this will sound dumb but how did u make the lines that color at the end of the video?
32Skott 7 months ago
@32Skott you mean the blue wireframe i think, you can add it on your perspective window view menu, shading then wireframe on shaded
or click the icon that looks like a "box blue with white edge" on your perspective window view too
AKU6 7 months ago
If it wasn't to much trouble could you make a tutorial of this a bit slower? ;)
