A trip to Hawaii from a pension fund that's losing millions and underfunded, brilliant!!!!! I'm glad these tactics work. Rumor thru the grape vine recently had MEGA Mech land one of those state jobs with a local 40 contractor with the lowest number. However, due to demonstrations like these, a non-union co. was able to match our contractors number and take more hours away from our funds. and money from our members families. Keep up these childish tactics, as you can see they work.
I love the video and YES all the unions should stick together I am 100% for that. It is a shame all trades do not work as one body......... BUT...... You need to send the rat to "your own" union hall ALSO!
You have a crew at Pfizers working for Yankee at a extreme pay cut. All this is going on while your FAT CAT union officials are in Hawaii with their wives at a convention!!! The cost of the airfare, hotel and expenses could have been used to pay these guys.

I appreciate your point of view, but it is important for you to remember the reason the men at Pfizers are working for a cut rate is because YOUR contractor was going to contract with a NON-Union sheet metal company. There is a reason the Non-union price is lower... they pay poverty wages and have little in any benefits for the members. Remember this is a private job with no prevailing wage applied. You should really be angry at the Union Mechanicals.......

As for the Hawaii trip, that is paid for by the pension and is for the elected trustees who are by and large NOT full time officers of the local. I agree the location is questionable, but it is the decision of the pension administrators and not by the locals or Union in general. This still does not excuse Union Mechanical Companies who choose to sub-contract to NON-Union companies....

I appreciate your point of view, but it is important for you to remember the reason the men at Pfizers are working for a cut rate is because YOUR contractor was going to contract with a NON-Union sheet metal company.
