Hello I just bought a second hand machine but I am a biginner who wants to learn how to saw using an electric machine; now I tried to use it but when I start, the thread doesnt lock in together so it doesnt make any stitches on it, I dont know whats wrong with it..the machine I bought is Universal Standard sewing machine model #KTBR ser.# 406833...I have plenty of time to sew,winter is coming and I planned to sew during winter but sad to say I dont have much knowledge about it; Thank you..

@TheHamsterz101 Joann Fabrics or any sewing store...you have to know if it is high bar or low bar. You can look online for sewing machine manual and it will have a parts list probably.

Well I was watching this and was so excited and then it did not continue on. I have an old Mongomery Ward that I bought for $8 and put $15 into it. The guy told me it will only straight stitch which I said was fine for my fist machine. I have no idea how to add to the bobbin or sew anything. I finally just got the thread put on the machine correctly and did a test. Then I lost the bobbin. ARRG! LOL!!! I wasnt to make my own clothing line but now I'm stuck
My friend gave me a sewing machine because she bought a new one, and my parents were poor when they were little so they never had a sewing machine. The one i got from her looks roundish... but i have no idea how to use it so i guess ill just keep watching...

It also has 3 buttons: a pattern selector, a stitch width and a down stitch length Reverse push
You are so right. I have 3 machines but we don't get along. I can hand sew better than sewing on the machine. I get frustrated and my lower back hurts. That Tension is the kicker. Sometimes the sewing will go just fine on top...then when I turn it over the thread is all bunched up! Then I'll just rip the material out and call it a day. Now its has been years. I want to conquer this problem.

She took it in, the man adjusted something, didn't tell her what it was or how to keep it right, or anything. As soon as she started sewing with it, it was wrong again.
