The new drummer gets the job done for sure, but he's no Chris Pennie. Option Paralysis is a great cd... I haven't dug deep into it yet but it's defenitly closer to Ire Works than anything else.

I'm not completely thrilled about the new album.. and I felt the same way about Ire works.. I've met them once and they were hella cool. I used to worshp this band when I first discovered. -shrugs Miss Machine is still my fav. their best record if you ask me.. oh well

i urge you to listen to these last two albums again....up until about 2 months ago i felt exactly the same. miss machine was always my fave but theres so much proper riffing and good "pop" songs that dillinger do so well and so much more instrumentation.

went back to ire works and rediscovered the exact same thing.

i'm sure you know as well as i do that dillinger are a band that you have to invest yourself in and give repeated listens till you notice everything :)
