I know what you mean. But I test drove one last night...and it wasn't quite as fun as a stick shift, but something was still there that I liked. I couldn't go to sleep that night, recalling on the experience.  Definitely a higher tendency to speed with paddle shifts.

@USMChiLD the one thing that i most dislike about paddle shifters some cars, is because manufactures do it the wrong way.. like mazda & subaru who mount it on the steering wheel, so it moves with the steering wheel instead of being stationary.. at least thats my preference

Lol...my Logitech steering wheel is designed as u mention it, and it is a pain in the ass. Frankly, both stationary and traveling paddles are weird during a rough corner. So i use the stick and flick it downward, or upward as I need to instead of using the paddles.

This is a fantastic gearbox! Shifts unbelievably fast! Very close to a twin clutch!

when you shift down from that, do you let go of the gas pedal while shifting down a gear when you are not braking but just wanting to go down a gear to get a better torque and accelerate out.

I drive a manual and when I was to shift a gear down when not braking I cluth in and blip and then put in gear and then back on gas.

in this car, the blipping automatic and happens whether your on the gas or not :)

theres a little...'squirm' sometimes, that's it. its still a regular automatic in there, but it shifts excellent in manual mode

nope its not that bad!!! pefect downshiift everytime. upshifts i would like it more agressive like a 0.3 shit instead of 0.5
