  • Chuck Norris would fuck his shit up

  • Go Sweden you can do it!

  • Rubber will advance so much, it will be hard for players to phisicaly keep up with the speed and spin.I am preddicting that something simmilar to javelin will happen, when Uve Hohn threw beyond the field so they couldn't build bigger stadiums they lowered flight power of javelin.

  • Waldner is the best table tennis player through all times, no one in the future will ever be better than him, it doesn't matter what they do, they won't even come close the living Legend Jan-Ove Waldner!

  • @Compantino That's so ignorant, that's like saying no one will be a better ball player than Babe Ruth, it's already happened, we just don't notice because everyone has improved so much overall.

  • @Opalance Today's players have access to better training methods, better nutrition, and better competition. If Babe Ruth lived in this era he'd still dominate the game, and so would Waldner.

  • @murcie888 Are you saying that babe Ruth would still be Babe Ruth if he lived in this era? Basically you're making a hypothetical statement about a man who lived in a completely different society and training era. Babe Ruth was as good as he was because he wasn't afraid of failing. He had the all time record of strike outs as well as his home runs.

Today's pitchers throw faster, with more spin variation, and with more technique than that in the past. I doubt Babe Ruth could keep up.

  • @Compantino Except Timo Boll has officially out done JO Waldner. He's one more singles/medals than Waldner's record and Waldner's accolades don't really match up to today's standards.

There's no doubt that Waldner really paved the road for Table Tennis, but as for a European player goes Boll has surpassed what Waldner had done. China's players today are far more devastating than those of Waldner's younger days. For a non Asian player to succeed as Boll has proves he's just as good.

  • why not done konter smash??????

  • Please call the players their last name next time to make it more simple.

  • amazing talent, just TOO GOOD. simple as

  • Mozart ftw! haha

  • Nice serve....

  • MOZART!

  • @alphaabc he's not mozart !! he's ja ove waldner !

  • @vieti1995

    Of course he´s Waldner.

In case you didn´t know yet Waldner is often called

    "the mozart of table tennis".

  • @enkidu23 He truly is. Waldner seriously is probably the smartest player to have ever played table tennis. He's not a power house like Ma Long or Wang Liqin he dominated the sport with his know-how. It's very uncanny to watch him position himself perfectly to stay at the table. That and his fun to watch jukes that completely catch players off guard. He definitely innovated the drop shot like Ma Lin.

  • waldner is the best table tennis player ever to have lived! he is like the Roger Federer in table tennis!

  • no......

  • lmfao mozart!

  • did he just call him motzart?

  • ahah yes he did, wtf?!

  • that's the serv surprise of Wlnder.

  • Waldner is the best!!!!

  • i love that a european is the best of all time... lol no china players can match waldner in his prime...cho!!!

  • nice

  • Actually Pen Holders practice a lot of foot work to respond to this types of serves but Waldner does it very well that Ryu was caught off guard.

  • yea id say he got pretty ownd right there

  • Very nice :)

But the most perfect is Waldner´s fast and very well placed serve ...

  • what a cheeky sneaky bastard i'd rape him

  • Lol, Ryu didn't realised he got the first smash of Waldner.

  • why would u even stand where ryu was standing

tahts an in ur face opportinity to serve down the line

  • Beacuse he's a penholder with a weak backhand... he doesn't want to open up his backhand and is willing to be made a fool once in awhile to do so.

  • you've got a point there!

  • that maybe right in generally but at this point he was way to far in his backhand. I mean he was besides the table thats to far however you may look at it.

  • so crafty... an artist. That's why the call him Mozart

  • Too bad Waldner is retired.

  • he is not retired...he just doesn't play internationally anymore. he still plays in the german bundesliga.

  • schlager did similar to a shakehander, using cross over point, and the smash had pin point accuracy... in this point, im not really amazed by J.O.W. (but ofc, ive seen loads of his games, and hes the king) but i dont find this point great
