My cousin has cryduchat syndrome if you want info on this.my daughter has a stare off to the side unresponsive to me her facial expression totally blank then she snaps back and walks away from me then comes back for a hug.i never saw any eye lid flutter though.she has autism like her brother and she is having a mri next week.
What a pretty girl? You write she has Dravet's syndrome. thought that children with Dravet's had uncontrolable seizures, and mental retardation, and be completely spacey. But she seems completely coherent. Is it because you found the right meds or? I think a lot of other families suffering from Dravet's could learn from you. Sweet sweet girl:)
My daughter was having petit mal seizures and I removed benzoic adic from her diet and use since it is in shampoos, soaps and toothpast. I read online somwhere it could trigger them, and since she is no longer seizuring. It might help you daughter as well.
Hi. I am trying to figure out what is going on with my daughter. We thought it was a seizure, but after having 3 EEGs, MRI, CT the dr. said no. But she spaces out, body jerks a bit, and squints her eyes. Have you seen this before? Can you take a look at my videso to see what you think?
I hope your little girl is doing ok. She is very cute.
I have been confirmed to have grand mal seizures, but I'm trying to explain a nagging chin twitching that I've had since I was about 12-13 (am 23 now), and I think it could be the same as this, it doesnt happen constantly, but maybe once a day, or on bad days it will happen maybe 20 times a day
How this girls communicates & maintains her playing during the seizure? can somebody explains? So, I think it is just motor SPS, not an atypical absence as described.
@ajhuri Not every seizure causes you to loose consciousness. Though this looks more like a focal seizure to me.. My daughter has them and they are confirmed on EEG as being seizures
We're waiting on the SCN1A test now to see of our daughter has Dravet. Right now the doctor is saying Lennox Gastaut. My Amy does the same eye fluttering. Christy
